Answer: Both. Jig falls fast if there's a little tension on the line; this keeps the jig vertical so it quickly gets down to the bottom. When "jigging" the jig is lifted then let 'free fall', during free fall, jig assumes a more horizontal orientation and flutters downward... rate of descent varies with line weight, depth and your particular style of jigging...
Answer: They are effective "slow fall jigs", that said any slow fall can be fished with normal fast jig techniques.
Answer: It has some weight to it so it does cast slower but when it hits the water it also falls fast

Which end do you tie your line to?
Answer: I tie mine to the hook end and remove one of the hooks. I’ve landed more fish with one hook. “Assist” hooks have led to situations where I have 2 halfway embedded hooks. I’d rather have one hook fully set in.
Answer: I tie to the nose, but i also add 2 assist hooks to the nose as well.
Answer: I have been tieing to the nose, but I'm going to try the hook end this year and see which works better.
Answer: it is a personal choice, I usually attach the swivel snap to the hook end, majority of hits happen while it's falling,
Answer: Personal preference, though I attach a split ring with assist cords to my line and then use the split ring to change out jigs, allows for faster changing of the jigs without reattaching the entire set up. Also, I can store my jigs without hooks so it condenses them and keeps thing better organized.
Answer: I switch the hooks to the top and add a split ring. Key is to have the jig completely separate from the assist hooks so you're not fighting the jig. Split ring to solid ring, hooks and leader attach to solid ring.

How to fish this jig?
Answer: load hooks with bait squid or fish and touch bottom raising it about 12 inches from bottom and slowly jig up and down about 24 inches
Answer: Real easy ..say if your in 100 feet of water fish are at 50 feet you drop down to bottom it will flutter down bring it up to 50 feet were fish are drop back down. The flutter causes a reactionary bite. You try all different depths until you get bite and then keep bringing it up to that depth and letting it flutter down.

Answer: Don't know - never ordered the 250g... BUT! 80g has a 3 5/8" body and is 6 1/2" overall length - including hooks. The 150g is 4 1/2" body and 7 1/8" overall- including hooks. If proportions remain constant, the 250g might have a 6" body length and 9" over all. But, that's just my guess... assuming proportional consistency.

I haven't used it but initial quality is impressive. Paint looks and feels it can withstand saltwater use. Only using it will tell me if there's sufficient strength in hook assembly and split ring. I can't wait to try it.

Solid product. I was using them on a 8 day trip out of San Diego on the Intrepid. We were targeting Yellow Tail, Wahoo and Yellow Fin Tuna. Yellow Tail love the jig as do, Yellow Fin Tuna and Wahoo. I lost most of my jigs due to Wahoo strikes. Next time I'll wire a few of them and see if I can land a few skinnies.

The quality of these jigs is amazing. First cast on a paddy yielded a 20lb yellowtail. Caught fish all day and the jig held up amazingly well. 80g was very versatile offshore and even hooked a bunch of rockfish inshore. Definitely recommend this product, especially the Blue Mackerel. Customer service was excellent as well, Kip is doing a great job.

Bought both a Calissa and Shimano flat fall jig. Calissa is hands down better form assist hooks to the glow that it produced... Price is just below Shimano so I'll purchase again.

Well made jigs! - hooks are sharp and strong! Think the jig does a bit of 'helicoptering" and had a problem with line wrapping around around the rod tip. That may be my technique though. Also, my preference is for a red gusset on the hooks and tether and some in the set are that way but, not a fan of black... and maybe a 1/2" longer tether, too. Again, that's my preference. Colors are good- I'm partial to iridescent blue- or green. Regardless, I've banged 'em into rocks and coral and finish has held up well... fish teeth do leave marks but, that's OK. I'm quite happy with these jigs- you will be, too. Oh, yeah, I know, hitched up the jig backwards... don't know what I was thinking when I did that... but, still worked-
An addendum: braided line is the culprit for looping around the rod tip, NOT the jig. I've ordered three sets... and the little "satchels" they come in are cute. Now, just gotta find more fishing time...

Ski Pro 3 : Good quality jigs
Good quality jigs. I modified some of mine and moved the hooks to the upper eyelet, so when used, the hooks don't snag the bottom. They now fall mid body to the lure. I also added split rings to tie my line to as it gives the lure a bit more flutter.
Lures I didn't modify, I just tied off my line to the hook-end of the lure. Seems to work just as well. I recommend tying off on the hook end and keeping the hooks off the bottom when bottom jigging.
These lures worked great for Mackanaw or Lake Trout. They also work for ocean bottom fishing, but easily get hung up on rocky bottoms unless tied off like I suggested.
