Answer: Trolling rod with casting reel. I use a line counter reel.

What is the break down length and split of this rod?

Answer: On the Mojo Musky Trolling series, St. Croix made the 2 pc models with an offset split to make the working end of the rod essentially one piece. The split is above the handle a few inches in the meaty part of the rod - right around the 36" area. If you need an exact measurement let us know and we can measure one of the rods we have in the warehouse.
