A. Reith : Even better than expected.

I got this slightly used from Amazon Warehouse and must say it is one of the most versatile reels I've seen in a while. This Pflueger SUPQRS used a clear plastic cassette system to allow you to cheaply swap different fly lines on to the same reel. The spools are of 2 sizes so you can either use (at least with the reel I bought) a 5-6 spool or a 7-8 spool. The 7-8 cassette is deeper and only mid arbor so you can use a heavier line on it and still get plenty of backing. Since I don't need any 5-6 lines on this reel, I put a shooting head system on the large arbor 5-6 cassette which will give me about 150 yards of 50lb braid along with a shooting line and a shooting head. Fits perfectly and now I'm ready for steelhead season.

This product comes with 4 cassettes, 2 of each size. You probably will not need to buy any more spools (about $10 ea) unless this is the only reel you have.

The drag feels very smooth, but is not sealed as far as I can see. There appears to be many pockets where sand or other grit can get into so I am thinking not so great for saltwater. For freshwater I think the Pflueger will be fantastic.
