is the aluminum for the tool thick or thin?

Answer: Thin but very sturdy. Accidentally stepped on it and it held up.

Does this work with Yamamoto senkos?...and do you need a tool to apply them

Answer: These work great with Yamamoto Senko. This set comes with a tool but you can also do it by hand pretty easily. The Tool is quicker and easier. I highly recommend this kit.

specifications show wacky rig tube to be a diameter of 0.35inch. But the photo shows measurements of 0.51inch. Which is it?

Answer: For it to be .5 diameter, the works would be 10 inch senkos. I got the kit with just the tool and it is .35
