what size hooks do these work with? I typically use 7/0 circle hooks for sailfish and mahi in Florida. Will these work for that?

Answer: Aloha- Yes these will Work with 7/0 circle hooks and you could even go smaller if needed. We have ulua Fishermen in Hawaii using 18/0 VMC circle hooks. Make sure to tighten up the ziptie on the head and center the hook, initially it looks like it’s off center, but once you adjust the hook position it centers up very nicely ???? mahalo for trying them out. -Gye Nitta

Answer: I have used them on 5/0 - 8/0 using goggle eyes and works great.

Answer: I use the same size hooks here for the tope in the uk and they work fine for me

R TAK : Good product but unfortunate got a package that was short some ties.

One of two package was short, 17 instead of 20. Was about to return but to much trouble. Next time will just buy from a store, cheaper.

Nick : These seem to work but I only used them once.

I felt it made the bait a bit stiff on the hook and gives it a much bigger profile for the bait. I prefer to use the standard floss or even braided line. But I can't really say I tried this out that much so I will give it 5 stars on the benefit of the doubt. IT is super nice that the needle is molded into the end of the zip tie. I'm always searching around for my threading needle which is usually rusted out.
