"Bend the lure for shallow water action . . ." Does this mean that the fisherman physically bends the lure? And what purpose does that serve?

Answer: Yes, you can put a bend in the SteelShad blade bait back close to the tail of the lure and it allows the lure to swim right or left depending on which way you bend the lure. This allows the lure to swim left or right under docks or limbs or other cover. The lure also runs shallow this way and you can fish it over the top of grass. We have times here in E. TN where the white bass, hybrids, and Stripers boil the water in a feeding frenzy. The Steel Shad shines in these situations. You can through it a seriously long way due to the front loaded wait so you don't spook the fish, once in the water you can fish it at any depth, and the flash attracts fish like crazy. As the lure goes through the school you can feel it being repeatedly hit..even after a fish is on, the other fish continue to hit it.

I have used your Steel Shad for the last four or five years and could be a spokesperson for the bait. I probably own at least 13 or 14 of these now. Like a woman and her shoes, you can never have too many. I fish exclusively on Barkley Lake in Kentucky and have literally caught every species of fish in the lake. Everybody I fish with and don't have one wants to use one. They are great for fall schooling fishing.
