How are you attaching these? Egg loop or threading them on to the main line above the hook?

Answer: You can do it either way. Suggest you use a large needle and thread your leader through the middle of the yarnie. Be sure to push the needle from the bottom of the yarnie so you don’t break the wrap. I run my yarnie directly onto my leader when I fish a # 6 hook and small peach or shrimp yarnie in low clear water. WhenI fish eggs or just scent I thread the yarnie onto my egg loop and the run leader back through the eye of the hook. Most craft stores have large # 15 needles. Answer: The directions say to thread a leader through with a darning needle, but, an egg loop would work as well.
