Dave S. : Best soft jerk-bait out there

These baits are my absolute favorite soft jerk bait. The Elaztech material floats and is super springy, so they skip better/easier than any other soft plastic that I’ve used. I can literally skip the bait up to 10’ back in very low Buckbrush or thick limbs, no problem.

I find that “Texposing” a regular offset worm hook didn’t work as well on the hook-sets as regular plastics though, so I started making my own weedless hooks, using the type that has a short shank and point inline with the eye. My strike to hookup ratio went way up.
The Elaztech material is so stretchy and tuff that one bait can be used for many hard fighting fish, and who knows how many casts.
