Is this like a bull Shad?

Answer: I've never fished an actual bullshad. But I've painted and fished several of these "comparable" lures and caught bass. My personal best muskie(35in) was caught on a bluegill pattern I painted myself. The negative is they don't swim well on a slow reel. Fast reel works. Twitch pauses. Reel jerks. And even free falls.
