Debbie H : Great for an avid fisherman!

This bait net has got a wow factor to it. I purchased this for my father who has fished most of his life and was in need of a new bait net, with his birthday fast approaching I thought this would be perfect. I was not disappointed. The product arrives to you in a carrying bag with a zipper and two handles to make it very easy to transport back and forth to the lake or river. The other thing I really like about the bag that it comes in, is half the bag is an open mesh design which is great to give the net air flow to keep dry and get excess water out of after use. The area my father lives in is mostly a recreation town for both fishing and hunting. Due to supply and demand, the cost of bait is very high so my dad prefers to get his own. The net itself is made of white heavy duty nylon with a good weave to it to catch smaller fish to be used as live bait later. The frame around the next is made of a lightweight metal and there are a ton of included weights with it to make sure that once it is cast the net will sink as it should and not just float or only go partially down into the water. I had asked my cousin to cast the net in an open field (I didn't want to get it wet) to get an idea for how far and easy it was for him to throw it. He got good flight and distance out of it when he cast it, and he said it has more than enough rope to be far enough away from the boat or shore to be able to catch and pull the net back in. I kinda thought we might have a difficult time in getting the net back a compact state to be able to put it back into the bag but it was actually quite easy and did not take an excessive amount of time to pack up and go with. The rope is nice and thick and is white and blue heavy woven nylon which is easy on the hands to handle. They even included a small spool of fishing line with a small tool for it inside the bag as well. The inside of the bag also has a pouch in it to keep other fishing supplies if needed. My cousin was impressed with the entire product and said he would want one too. He is pretty picky so if he was happy with it I know my dad is going to love it when he goes up to the lake on the weekends. This is a sound product with good quality materials and construction. I would not hesitate to recommend this to others who enjoy fishing.

The net send to be very good quality. A little stiff but once you let it soak in water it softens. Only negative is that there is no instructions on how to throw it. I ended up taking metal cylinder off and using like a normal cast net.
