Questions about Pautzke Balls O' Fire Salmon Eggs Bait
Q:
Is this product manufactured from fish eggs?
Answer: I believe the "Balls o fire" are real fish eggs, they also have a product called "fire balls" that are not real eggs.
Answer: Some of them are real cured salmon eggs, and some are artificial. I got this email from the manufacturer yesterday:
Answer: These are real salmon eggs that are somewhat cured, dyed, and flavored but they are real salmon eggs. I love this stuff. I caught a PB trout on them.
Answer: I'm not for sure but I don't believe so. Mine came and have a heavy shell that doesn't seem to me to be the most natural thing in the world.
Answer: Yes it is, check out the video below
Q:
what color did you get
Answer: orange
Answer: Orange
Q:
Do these eggs float?
Answer: No you have to put them on a floating bobber
Answer: They do but eventually sink
Answer: no, they do not
Q:
Is this OK for human consumption?
Answer: No, humans should never consume them
Answer: I would really guess no. But no personal experience.
Answer: Uh, no. WTF...

Answer: Yes
Q:
This is not caviar. though it’s packed and priced that way. why so long to arrive? for the price i could buy them a first class seat. price gouging?
Answer: We apologize for the picture on the listing being incorrect. We just recently took over distribution and management of the Pautzke program and the content is steadily being fixed as we inherited it setup incorrectly. For the price issue, that is a mistake and will be adjusted today. Our price should be $4.99 + shipping for the item mentioned. Sorry for the inconvenience caused by this.
Q:
Is the price for 1 jar?
Answer: Yes
Q:
How long do these last after opening?
Answer: I have had mine for 4 years now and they still work great
Answer: Based on storage. Cool dark place will make these last a year easy.

Q:
Is it good bait to catch salmon?
Answer: For rainbow trout probably yes but not salmon

Answer: I dont think
Q:
What kind of fish does this attract?
Answer: Since 1934, Pautzke's Balls o Fire salmon eggs have been designed to catch trout. When used on light line with small size 10 to 16 single salmon egg hooks there's no better bait.
Answer: Mainly trout but caught creek chubs and bluegill. Whatevers hungry they'll hit it!!
Answer: I have used them in trout environments

This bait is floating?

Answer: I got the one ounce when I ordered
Answer: It's the regular size, just like if you bought it at Big 5, whatever size that is:)
Product reviews of Pautzke Balls O' Fire Salmon Eggs Bait
juan : best salmon eggs
cought over 50 rainbow trout and going for more.
Jeffrey P. : They catch fish
I loved the yellow jackets... the trout loved them more, every cast when nothing else would work...rainbow trout love em..my new go to single egg..
The Stuff Concierge : Great, time tested bait...just doesn't work too well for me...
Numerous YouTube videos show this product catching trout in all types of weather conditions and types of water. I live in Philly and I wanted to try these on our stocked trout. So far nothing on this bait and I've used this on and off for about half a season of trout fishing.
I will give it another try this season with a few different rigging methods and see if that works better and give you and update but, my experience so far has not been stellar with these eggs or just eggs in general real or artificial.
One thing I can say for sure is that they do work, I just can't get them to work for me....yet ;)
B K : Excellent bait for trout and panfish.
These things always produce fish for me.
Michael A. Kelley : Five Stars
Great!
Amazon Customer : Five Stars
perfect
Maury Swoveland : Balls O' Fire Tyee Salmon Eggs - 1 oz
Eggs were on the dry side, small and very hard. These are not what I expected nor what I purchased before. However the eggs remained on the hook and did their job, no fish but bites. I would not buy these eggs again, but will try the red label.
Jake : Perfect Bait
These Worked great, I was catching fish left and right during my trip to the Trinity River in California!! I've never had a better trip than with this one using this Bait, i caught over 68 fish with these!! Absolutely amazing!!!!
UBME : Great Balls of Fire
Great product works well
jeff : Trout
What can I say about salmon eggs trout love him
Duff123 : I really like these for my purpose of tying up in spawn ...
I really like these for my purpose of tying up in spawn bags! They are really durable and last a lot longer than uncured or other cured eggs. They have the same round shape as an egg should have (unlike some cured eggs). I can tie them up in smaller bags because of their durability and not having to worry that they will pop and go flat after just a couple casts!
I primarily use them when I don't have eggs from a previous fish caught sitting around in my freezer. And now after using them I might just continue to use these more often than eggs that I've cured from previous fish caught! They work really well and still have the egg juice in the middle. So if you are fishing in a spawn bag and feel they're not milking enough, just puncture one of the eggs in the sack with a hook or needle or something and keep casting away and you'll have your milking result!!
I would highly recommend these eggs!
Salvador F. Cozzo : This eggs were to small to put on a small ...
This eggs were to small to put on a small hook. When I compare this to my old eggs about 1/3 the size, would not buy again.
Paul Dunleavy : Catching the trout.
Floating them down the river with a bobber see the pics 14-16” Trout
Trey McClure : Great!
Arrived on time and is great for catching trout!
William H. Newell : Maybe real trout will like them. They have been famous for decades
No luck for me with these in mountain lakes for planted trout. Maybe real trout will like them. They have been famous for decades, so don't take them out of your box of tricks.
Harrison Higaki : RIP OFF FAKE EGGS.
RIP OFF!!! Negative 5 stars. This can't be Pautze's. They're some kind of rubbery material, FAKE eggs. The jar is the small jar, not the large jar in the picture. Don't buy. It's a sham.

A. Warren : Buyer beware!
I have been using Pautzke Salmon eggs for over 20 years. They are my go to trout bait. They should be soft, pink and juicy. I ordered 6 jars and all of them were dried out, hard and a brownish red color. I tried to return them and was told they are NOT eligible for return. I am now out 30.00 and still have not usable bait.
bradley wilfong : Colossal Results!!
We used these eggs on a major spawning cycle.
Hammered them!
Those around us were throwing everything with sparse results.
Unbelievable results.!
Thank you.
Murrell Dooms : Works fine.
Good product.
John Marshall : good bait
great bait. I use this as a change up from power bait and it works pretty good
Duzzi : Three Stars
works okay
Vik : Not as advertised!
I have purchased this product from Walmart before and it worked great! This one must be a substitute because these are fake fish eggs and they are too large. Wish I could attach the picture.
Paul Dunleavy : Catching the trout.
Floating them down the river with a bobber see the pics 14-16” Trout
JNB : These work great for trout
These work great for trout. They are an easy item to just leave in the box so you always have bait available if hardware isn't working.
Not sure how long they last but I have had them up to a couple years before they go bad.
I usually use it on a single size 12 or 14 below a float on a lake when still fishing for trout. They are nice and tacky so they stay on the hook well.
If I could change anything I would make them sightly bigger.
Robert E. Barnes : walmart is 1.2 cost

Shelby Yee : Big nope
Didn’t catch one thing with these! Honestly I think the smell scared the fish away instead of luring they in!
Jeannie : Great Addition - Surprisingly Small Jar
These are an excellent addition to my tackle box. The jar was much smaller than expected, but I’m still happy with my purchase.
Basstex : They catch trout
Always pleased with these

LOs huevos que normalmente compro vienen con liquido pero estos frascos vinieron secos además son transparentes. No se si es culpa del fabricante o es otra copia mas
