What does the pwrl-p stand for?

Answer: It’s a one big handle vs two smaller. I believe it also has a slower gear ratio

Answer: not sure what your question is exactly but i own several of these reels. i use them for trolling for both striped bass in the Cal. Delta and when i troll for trout. Line counter feature works really well when i stagger my baits at different lengths behind the boat with or without my down-riggers. the retrieval rate of return (i.e. 5.5.1) is a little slow when not fighting a fish and just wanting to check my baits for grass and what not. Daiwa makes a great product and I own several other Daiwa Reels as well.

Does the 100 model cast like a baitcaster? or more like a Levelwind?

Answer: It would not be one you'd want to do much casting with. It can be cast - but it's a tad tricky for that. It's an excellent trolling reel but a "decent" caster...

Answer: I have cast with it on occasion, but I read a review on another brand of line counter which stated the tiny gears in the counter could be easily damaged. Don't know if that's true for the Lexa but it's worth considering.

Answer: Right and left, drag, amount of line they hold, size and handles. The 100 is the smallest and the 400 is the largest. I am using the 300h for walleye fishing, it has double paddles.

Answer: Okuma makes 'em....I'd recommend the Cold Water Series. I have Daiwa Lexa LC300 reels too. I'm not sure if they make left-handed.....'cause I didn't look.

Answer: The description is correct, but the picture is not. this is a awesome reel. I have already reeled in 20 plus kokanee with it and also works awesome with the down rigger.

Answer: What do you mean by clicker? It does have a line counter on it.

Answer: I put 200 yards of 12 pound flouracarbon line on mine. I'd say it could hold another 70 - 100 yards. It would hold beaucoups of 10-30 yard braid....maybe 400-600 yards...? These are really nice reels. I have two. I use 'em to troll but you could bait-cast them. Braided like would be better for that, I suspect....

Answer: I put on between 220 and 240 yards of 6# test Fireline. The reel will hold more, but the counter seems to be the most accurate with that amount. While I have trolled with it, I mostly use it when vertical fishing for perch, either on my boat or when ice fishing.

Answer: Aboit 250 yds 40 lb suffix braid . I used it all year for spring salmon and landed many 30s and 1 50 plus no problem . Reels flawless

I don’t know much about fishing, but I bought this for my father at his request (he’s an avid fisherman) and he absolutely loves it. Fishing guides & all of his fishing friends love the reel too, so I’d say that it was a good purchase. Make sure to read all of the specifications to ensure the right purchase.

I purchased four of these reels in the last eighteen months. Only one remains functional. Granted, I fish more than the average person. These reels cannot handle steady use as a downrigger reel for trout and landlocked salmon fishing. The failure is the clicker, the line out alarm. The design is weak, and all three of my failed reels have broken the clicker device. I would not expect Daiwa to design such a weak clicker, but they did. As they fail I am replacing with Abu Garcia 5500 lc's. A more durable reel at a lower price.
