Can someone post some pictures of the inside? Possibly along with a review explaining how it’s laid out.

Answer: Maxpedition web site has good pictures of inside and outside from all angles.

Has anyone thrown a j frame into this puppy yet?

Answer: No

Is this waterproof?

Answer: No. Not waterproof, water resistant. If you submerge it, whatever is inside is getting wet.

Is the front design (squares) useful for something ? Or just for "the looks" ?

Answer: The squares are access for Molle connection either to something larger or to attach something externally. The squares proper are just access to feed through straps for attachment.

Answer: The front is 2 wide x 3 tall of molle webbing. You can attach another small pouch or item to it. The black squares are the fabric underneath showing through.

Answer: Both, I use this as a LEO and use the front squares that your referring to keeps pens

What material are the d-rings? Would it be best to buy a shoulder strap with metal or plastic clips/hooks to go with this pouch?

Answer: The D-rings are made of plastic. Recommend plastic hardware on a shoulder strap for this pouch.

Answer: They are a polymer or plastic. I have a 1" wide shoulder strap with plastic hooks for mine. Works great!

Anybody tried attaching the cap to the veldspar? if so, how did it workout?

Would laptop power supply fit with cords?

Answer: This truly depends on the size of your power supply. The main compartment will fit something about 1" thick (and 3.5" wide x 5" tall) with no problem. If the cord (with prongs) can be folded (like many PC laptop power supplies), it should fit fine. A Mac Powerbook brick will fit no problem, however I do not believe the longer AC extension would fit (due to the cable's thickness which makes it hard to wrap in tight figure eight.)

Answer: It depends on the size of your power supply. We were able to fit a 4 inch long power brick and cord in the CAP pouch without a problem, however, some of the larger bricks might not fit.

Answer: Not unless it's a small power supply. The brick I have for mine certainly doesn't fit.

Maxpedition quality control should have really picked up on this before it even reached a retailer. Missed nearly an inch of stitching on the seam.

I'm finding myself needing to carry more stuff daily as I get older, so decided to get myself a man bag. Splashed out on one of these as it looks cool, and Maxpeditions reputation for quality is second to none. Not in this case.

Sadly it's easier for me to have this repaired than go through the hassle of returning it.

I'd have been a very happy customer, the bag is just what I needed, but I feel I have a factory second at full price.

This product is built like a tank as you expect from Maxpedition, however the design of this pouch was not what I thought. The pouch shows two compartments with the first one opening completely to lie flat, mine did not allow that. Additionally the photos show a huge amount of gear going into the bags, what they don't show is whether the bag will close and zip. I wanted this pouch for EDC use but I found I have to put a lot less in the pouch than I wanted. Did not meet my expectations of Maspedition products, I am returning.

Manufacturing wise, it looks and feels very strong, Those that plan to compile a number of items in it. forget it, it is to narrow to add my small all-weather notepad in it.
after adding a leatherman, a small flashlight and a utility blade, it already is full on one side, not sure if I will keep it or pass it on to a young kid. Go for something 1.5 times the size at a minimum.

This is a review after many years of carrying this daily in a bag. TL;DR: The pouch is extremely durable for office EDC and first aid kits. The pull tabs are second to none. Great quality pouch. None of the seams have worn down, and the surface is good at hiding wear.

Too tight. The gear to be stowed would not fit. I like these products. But this didn't have the room to meet half my needs. Outside dimension advertised doesn't mean it will store that dimension. Make a larger medical bag.

The Maxpedition standard of quality has diminished over the years. But, this is still a good piece of gear. I will say that I did not like the polymer tac ties, and swapped them out for the older, pain in the butt version. Looks like it's going to hold up for a long time. Don't really like this style of zipper pulls on a small bag like this but oh well.

Great little gear bag for daily outings, I use the two inch carry strap and this turns into a very compact little cross body sling.
...however the zippers will bind if a solid object is put anywhere near the sides. A wider offset between zipper and immediate storage would probably solve this but only a minor nuisance.

Well made, should cover my needs in Afghanistan, but their "Tan" is more of a pale Olive Drab.

Going back to amazon. Zipper blown on delivery - it will not close / self-heal. I don't think the quality of this new line from Maxpedition is anywhere close to the "legacy" line they still make. Folks, there is a reason it's called "legacy" - it's because it works and this high-tech, lightweight new AGR line doesn't.

Pros:
1) Gran calidad en los materiales tanto en interior y exterior.
2) El interior es de color más claro, así se pueden distinguir más fácilmente los artículos en lugares con poca luz.
3) Sistema ATLAS o MOLLE como le quieran llamar en la parte frontal para acoplar algún articulo que necesites acceso fácil o acoplar algun otro pouch más pequeño.
4) Viene con dos sujetadores de fácil liberación incluidos para acoplar a sistema ATLAS o MOLLE. (Solos cuestan $280 pesos el paquete de 6)
5) Tiene recubrimiento de teflón, para repeler agua y facilitar su limpieza.
6) Tiene dos anillos D para poder cargar con correa. (No incluida).
7) Excelente pouch urbano.

Contras:
1) El color gris no es tan claro como el que presentan en la foto de Amazon.
2) Los cierres aunque son ykk se desplazan con cierta dificultad y estan muy juntos entre si, lo que dificulta de cierta forma abrir el compartimento que quieres sin mirar.
3) Si lo que quieres es formar un IFAK o pouch de primeros auxilios probablemente te quedes corto en espacio, mejor piensa en el FRP de Maxpedition. Este pouch funciona más para un EDC de artículos de tamaño pocket como linternas, multiherramientas y navajas y/o artículos tech, cómo cables pequeños, adaptadores, usb's, tarjetas de memoria.

Me gustó mucho este pouch, aunque dudo mucho que sirva como pouch complemento de camping o senderismo a menos que tu actividad sólo sea de un par de horas. Funciona mucho mejor como complemento de tu EDC urbano.
