Are the fles weighted?
Answer: They are not weighted. These are designed specifically for Tenkara style rods, and as such are surface flies.
Answer: They're weighted in the 'traditional' killer bug fashion...the shank of the hook is completely wrapped with uni-wire (red), the yarn is then applied and the wire tag used as ribbing. The yarn naturally soaks up water making it a bit heavier on the cast. Pretty good fly IMO.
