Any tips on using these flies?

Try fishing the dry flies casting upstream and carefully stripping the line in as the fly floats back downstream past likely holding spots. Practice not allowing any un-natural drag from the leader to affect the fly - you want your fly to ride the current naturally as a live insect would.

The bead head nymph patterns are very effective when dead drifted with your rod tip held high with no slack. Guide the fly through chutes and past holding spots and set the hook any time you see the fly pause. Strike indicators also work very well - put them 2-3' up the tippet from the fly.
