Answer: no it is not a popper. But I love this lure, it casts like a bullet and has great action in the surf.

What is the best color for pier fishing

Answer: Depends on several factors. Time of the day, sunlight, water color, local baitfish, seasonal baitfish movement etc. at the bare minimum. Usually light and flashy colors for bright and clear water and dark colors for cloudy or darker water days. Red-head white body is a classic and so is mullet pattern. Tight lines and cheers!

What's a good color for stripers from the surf?

Answer: I agree with the others who mentioned the holographic Bronze Shiner, and yellow colors. If your fishing late at night, or very early a.m. when it's still dark, the black/purple, or ghost black have been great for me when surf fishing in Rhode Island. You might want to check out the green mackerel mag darter also. Especially if fishing the Canal.

What color can you recommend for snook?

Answer: During the day we recommend Mullet(HMT), and for night fishing Ghost Black(HGLB). If you notice certain bait fish where you typically fish, try and get a color that resembles them.

This lure is awesome for stripped bass. Unfortunately, one of the lure that I have received, holographic pink, doesn't look like the picture at all.

Batman_Bin_Suparman : Not much luck, but it was cheap.

Haven't had much luck with this one, but I think lure effectiveness really varies based on location and conditions. Others might find that it works well in murkier waters.

It *is* better made than the cheap Chinese knockoffs though.
