Answer: I don’t have a tape measure, but the fish were showing up at 20’ at a 27’ total depth . Trolling 4mph using braid. I’d bet lure was at 20’. Be my guess. Use braid. Smaller diameter braid equals deep trolling lure. Fish on.

Answer: No it does not work jigging. Straight retrieve or trolling is the recommended technique.

what is the largest size they make will be trolling salt water

Answer: Melton tackle have the DD 180mm magnums. Biggest I know of. I bought 2 off them before and they both got smoked by something big, one spooled me.

Answer: We caught sails on the 5 1.4 sardine....we use the 6 fir tuna Yellow fin

Can you get a good casting distance with this lure if you decide to fish from shore?

Answer: this lure is best as a deep running 12 to 15 feet deep. I've never used this lure from shore..My avg distance casting from a very slow moving boat was about 100 feet and then let it run out another 40 to 50 feet. I don't think fishing from shore , given a casting distance of 100/125 feet, would give you the distance needed get the lure down to a good depth to operate effectively. It is a very good lure, I have done very well with stripped bass, catfish, and lgf mouth bass at lake Marion in SC. Trolling in a slow boat is the most effective way for me to use this lure.

Answer: F for floating and S for suspending. Its written on its backbone after Yo Zuri. Mine are all floating.

Answer: striped bass trolling, on red & white one I got 40in 26 lb striped bass.

Answer: Straight retrieve or trolling is the recommended technique.

Answer: About 7 knots. Caught a 180 lb. yellowfin tuna and about 5 wahoo on it.

Exactly as expected. Size of lure is 5 inches from eye to tail or 7 inches if you include the lip. Looks like a good size for a wide range of fish. Small bluefish, spanish, speckled trout will hit this lure it's not too big. Also, doesnt loom too small for larger fish like kingfish and bull reds.

I purchased 4 new Yo-zuri 3D Minnows for trolling. When looking for trolling lures I look at price and quality. Yo-zuri has managed to do just that, great quality lures at a fair price point. Some of the name brands have gotten a bit ridiculous and the quality has tapered off to boot. In another month my season starts and I will hit Cape Lookout and the surrounding areas and give these a good test. I will try to update and let everyone know how this new set does. But they look and feel like quality lures. Tight lines y'all!
