what size should i use for about 6 inch brook and rainbow trout.

Answer: This is one of my fave trout lures, and have used them for brook, rainbow, brown, and cutthroat. For the little ones, I'd use a 1/8 oz lure. Nothing larger than that. Oh, and make sure you don't use anything larger than 4 lb test line. Two pound test is preferable. Hope this helps!

Answer: 1&1/4....

Do i need to add anything else to the line besides the hook in order to cast.

Answer: You don't have to add even a hook, since treble hook is already attached. Although I usually add swivel to compensate line rotation.

Answer: Nothing is required, but a swivel may help reduce any possible line twist.

Where are they made?

Answer: South Bend, the company, originated in South Bend Indiana, but is now located in Northbrook Illinois. However, none of that indicates where these particular lures are made. Regardless, they are made well and perform well. In fact, can say the same for all of the South Bend products I own (more than a few).

Kastmasters are usually 3-5 bucks in the store and these work just as well imho and are much cheaper. I find I'm willing to be more daring with fishing them near cover or structure (because I'm not as concerned about losing them) and as a result I get into more fish. It's a pack too so yknow you can lose a few and still have something left to fish

The Kastmaster and South Bend are a bit different in a few ways. If you measure both of the 3/8 oz, kastmasters weighs at 14 grams and south bend weighs at 11 grams. Casting distance: kastmaster wins. Both of the spoon have a bit different metal material. Kastmaster has more reflection and shine and has more rust resistant than the South Bend. If you drop both of the metals on the ground, south bend sounds hollow and cheap. Swimming action is the same but the overall quality and feel, Kastmaster wins.

Seem similar to my Kastmasters. I haven't used them enough to say whether the finish will hold up like the K brand. Bought these for smaller trout where I might snag and loose a more expensive lure. I sharpened the hooks but they seem ok when you get them. You might remove the split ring and tie directly to the lure with an open loop to see if that allows better free movement of the lure. I fish with 4 lb test.

Jungle Boi : Very effective for shore fishing in the Gulf

I bought these lures for my 10 year old for our trip to Sarasota Florida. He has never fished before and I did a little pond fishing when I was a kid so we were both novices. I did some research and found that spoons are good lures for shore Gulf fishing. My son was on the shore practicing his casting techniques in an area that is not supposed to have a lot of fish and caught a 15 inch Whitening fish.

You'll catch trout all day in 4ft water with these. They're heavy enough for a long and accurate cast on a windy day with 2lb line a me light rod. Be careful to not let it sink, they like to get snagged
