Answer: Primarily freshwater I think but equally suited for saltwater with the right hooks

Answer: The ones I bought were for bass. I wouldn't by them again. Good lookin bait, but it caught me and not the fish.

How many lures did you get for the $6.05 price? It reads like you only get one.

Answer: Got more than one, but difficult lure to use. Don't waste yur money, if a bass man, plastic worms and jointed Rapalas.

PECo412 : Works perfectly on a drop-shot

The reviewers who said this lure is too fragile or hard to rig are probably not rigging it on a drop-shot, for which it is perfect. I love to drop-shot Berkley Gulp! Minnows, but had to try the three inch Lunkerhunt Bento Minnow when I saw how realistic it is. The first time I used it in a crystal-clear mostly weedless 57 degree lake, I caught a largemouth bass and a decent 12-1/2 inch long yellow perch. It won't replace Gulp! Minnows for me, but it works.

I run a double dropshop with a ¹/4 oz of weight for crappie, Texas rigged. 30+ fish and they still hung on like you hung onto your favorite porno mag as a teen.

J. Rifkin : Good but not durable

They look great, feel great, the color choice and flash are incredible and the size is perfect for me. 6 stars. BUT they are extremely hard to get on a hook without them falling apart and the eyes will fall off even if you cast it too hard. Either way, great bait, but keep in mind the durability is low especially for the high price.

Lure looks great ! But tears easily when hooks or jigs inserted..especially the eyes....lure looks the part..ought a catch fish....didnt work for me.

Brian Bott : Fell apart on the hook

I have purchased this exact item as well as other variations / sizes of them. The baits I received fell apart the first time I put a hook through it to fish. In the past I could reuse the bait at least a couple times, this time they just fell apart, and could not be used again. This is a pricey bait, and just to use it once is not acceptable to me at least.

These worked great last spring in the Detroit River with a dark green 3/4 oz jig.

Nice lure for the price. Works great and I have caught fish the first time out. I like the action.

Outdoorsman : Eyes have limited lifespan, but the fish don't mind. Durable core.

I purchased these over the summer to target smallmouth bass and walleye, but ended up using them on a dropshot rig in local ponds with good success for largemouth bass. As others noted, they look amazing right out of the package, but the stick-on eyes don't last a long time. I haven't found the presence/lack of the eye to make a difference in effectiveness. I did notice that the embedded holographic braided tubing really adds to the life of the bait - especially if you rig the bait with so that the hook goes through that webbing. The bait will not easily tear-off and you'll be able to use it for a number of fish. The flash that these baits have due to the embedded holographic material is what really sets them apart from other similar baits. When the bait rolls onto its side on the fall it really gets the attention of fish in the area.

These are a one time use. The imitation eyes will fall out if you try to change to another color or different soft bait. They work well however, but just be mindful of the lack of reuse.

I HAVE CAUGHT AND RELEASED, TARPON, SNOOK, JACK, TILAPIA, TROUT, TRUMPETFISH, PINFISH, SNAPPER, AND PROBABLY A FEW OTHERS THAT I HAVE FORGOTTEN. PROBLEM IS, THE FISH REALLY EAT IT AND I'M HAVING TO BUY LARGER QUANTITIES. LOVE THIS BAIT.
