The action of these spoons and the flash you get at low speed retrieve through high speed or jerks is unmatched by any other lure style. I use these spoons for everything from freshwater trout, bass and pickerel through large pelagic species and use 1/2 oz up to 9 oz. I also use them extensively trolling them with downriggers and planers offshore. You need a good ball bearing swivel if trolling or it will twist the heck out of your line.

The fish can't resist them. I love surfcasting or fishing cape cod canal with these for blues and stripers. The thicker ones sink fast and cast further. I wish they'd describe the length of the spoon part and the thickness as often the lures are the same size but thicker. That is the case in the 2 oz vs 3 oz. But I buy them by the dozen and stock up on each size at a good price here.

I've been in several situations like when in Homer AK where dozens of people were fishing a tidal pool with many salmon visible swimming around. No one was catching anything.. I was there 30 minutes and landed 3 kings on almost consecutive casts. I've had guides see the action on them and exclaim they needed to buy some-what were they? You can't beat these.

Also, the hooks are very good quality, sharp and strong, unlike many knockoffs. I wish there was an option for stainless steel ones as they rust through fairly quickly if exposed to saltwater. But I lose them frequently enough that it's not much of a problem. Between seals and toothy critters biting through my line when no wire leader is on like bluefish chomping when I fish for stripers, I go through them quickly. I'm glad I can buy them here affordably. Awesome lures!
