About Us

As a collector of fishing lures, inventor Castaneda began studying the natural sounds of baitfish: mating calls, defense sounds, and indicators of distress. He soon zeroed in on distress sounds of baitfish as they ‘ring a dinner bell,’ so to speak, for large game fish.

When fish compress their gill plates, the muscles that move them beat against their swim bladder and it causes them to emit unique sounds that other fish can hear from long distances. These sounds identify where it is and if it’s dinner to eat or a predator searching to eat.

The Pro Ripper by Livingston Lures is very veristile. I have fished this lure during times where I wouldn't have thought it would have worked and it still did. The lure runs great and this technology is something else. I defintely reccomend this thing. I have even jigged it while ice fishing and had positve results!

Definitely a great fishing lure. Bottom line... it catches fish. Can't complain about that! I have been fishing with one for a couple weeks and I am very pleased. These lures are very well made in all aspects. I have no doubt that this technology makes a difference. I like to fish the Pro Ripper at any depth making it a great lure choice for many different situations. These lures a well worth it and I am glad that I gave this one a shot.
