Answer: the lure it's self is 2 1/2 inch over all is 3 inches

What would be the best color and type of Scatter Rap Crank Lure for my dad? He likes to fish to bass and steelhead, primarily in rivers.

Answer: In my personal opinion, I think blue gill would be the most suitable color for bass (large mouth) in my experience, bass really go after the blue gill color. It works really well. I have caught several largemouth that were 8lbs with this lure.

Answer: I have purchased the blue back herring and the blue gill version. They work!!! The best crank I ahve ever used and I have thousands of cranks. Caught 3 bass within 20 minutes on first day of using this lure. If your dad love bass fishing, get this lure! he will thank every time he use it : ) Good luck!

Answer: The best ones will be the same as the other native species in the waters he is fishing. Personally, I own several, a blue gill, baby bass, blue black herring and a shad. Have caught bass, northern, and some pan fish on these. Hope this helps, I am sure he will be happy to have whatever you buy. Merry Xmas.

Answer: great for Largemouth bass have not tried it in saltwater

Which of these lures are best for fresh water fishing for Bass and Catfish mostly, but blue gill and crappie fishing seasonally?

Answer: This lure is mainly suited for bass fishing. Where I am the blue gill pattern and crawfish work well. The eratic action produced some great reaction strikes . never caught a cat on it. It may be possible but I always use chicken livers for cats. Lure is a bit big for crappie and blue gill. Try a small single tail grub for them. Or live minnows if its allowed.

Answer: They work pretty good for bass depending on colors and time of year, etc. You won't catch any of those other fish especially catfish

Answer: I only got to use this once since it was the end of bass season in Vermont. But the time I did use it it had a good weight to it for a long cast and upon retrieval it had very nice action and good vibration. I believe this would be a really good bass lure. I do a lot of bass fishing and take my word for it this is a good lure and it will catch lots of bass. I hope this was helpful but I don't think you will be disappointed if you do purchase this product.

Amazon Customer : Walleye love them.

Used the used the scrm11 for walleye and smallmouth trolling at 1.5 in michigan and it out fished 5 other lures. Put out two out and the action switched to both rods. I now have six plus the scat rap countdown can't wait to run those as well. Walleye love them.

Cast the lil Bluegill lure out with 8 lb. Nano line on your spinning reel and let it set for a minute. Slight twitches seem to help a lot.
