Answer: I have the 8’ version and throw 3oz of lead plus bait easily. I’m sure it could handle 6-8oz. These rods cast amazingly well and far.

Answer: It’s obviously dependent on your form, but I’d say for most people, 3-4 ounces would be the maxthey could safely and consistently sling

A excellent example of all around catfish rod,I've got the old circa.2017 model which is all black,then I have the version above, these rods cast far for a 7 foot,in this price range.about 160 feet casts with 2 ounce no rolls,it is very light weight and tough,these pics will back me up on how great this rod was in my hands,its not a boom stick either,it can cast jerkbaits out and work them great,like the husky jerk 10,or a 6" musky Jake, or even frogs so it's very versatile and has a great back bone for carp,catfish,bass,etc.

I love this rod...sensitive, lightweight, bends throughout the blank...not only great for big cats (20+lbs), but I've caught smaller cats, Redfish, black drum, Gar, Eel, and Perch on it. You feel the fight and confidently land 'em!

These are great little catfish rods. These aren’t the big, overbuilt gaudy catfish rods everyone is trying to sell. These are great I was pleasantly surprised when I open the box and saw these inside. I imagine these are probably best for channel cats and maybe small blues. These aren’t meant for big flatheads and blues but are perfect for small river or pond catfish. I will buy more BnM products.

Actually used this for offshore fishing recently and it was perfect. Great action and very light. I wouldn't use it for heavy leads but for a versatile multi species bait rod its perfect.
