Answer: 3-4 feet depending on line size, the larger the line the shallower it will run.

Does the bait have rattles in it ?

Answer: Yes it does. They seem larger than normal as this lure has a different sound than most other lures of this type. Very effective.

Answer: It comes with hooks, but recommend you replace them. They easily break and can get better results using single in line hooks.

what is the weight of this lure?

Exactly how wide is the bait. Does it wobble

Answer: The bait itself is about 1/2 inch across, it's more of a flat sided bait. The bill tapers out to be around 1 inch wide. This bait does wobble because the bill is specifically designed for it to wobble despite the baits more narrow profile.

Which color catches more fish, the metallic or natural matte?

Answer: If the fishing is tough, and/or the water is clear. Go with the natural. But if it's night with the moon out or the waters murky go with metallic. However if you want best bang for your buck, and,in my opinion, the Better lure, go with the natural

Answer: Natural is the best all around choice. In extremely stained water and when trying to get a reaction bite it is possible that metallic has a slight edge. I think color and appearance are over rated in stained water where fish rely mostly on vibration, and the silhouette image of the bait, and not on visibility.

Does the bait float at rest

Answer: Yes floats at a stand still, awesome bait for bass, bounce it off everything rock, trees, all cover and get great hits!!!

Answer: Yes...it is a floater...and it floats just like a sunfish sunning itself. Stop and go retrieve over the top of weeds...killer.

Answer: Not a super fast rise to the top. Works great on a stop go retrieve. I have had some bite it when I had it simply resting on top with just a few slight twitches before I went to reel it in.

After seeing this lure online and looking at some reviews around the Internet, I decided to buy it to use on a spring fishing trip. I chose the metallic version hoping it would be more visible in unclear water or at night. I loved the lure upon opening it. It has a very detailed and realistic finish and nice rattle. On the fist night I used this lure on my trip, a 2ft northern pike struck it almost immediately. Then a few minutes later another 2ft pike struck hard. I was very impressed with the lure. Two pike on its first test is great!

fishing fanatic : Great quality bait with imperfect hooks

One of my favorite baits that is great for fishing shallower areas. I have caught a great number of quality fish on this after replacing the treble hooks with single in line hooks that are more durable, snag less, and keep fish hooked better. The tactic that has proven most useful for me is using a large capacity Abu Garcia C4 reel spooled with 40lb test Power Pro and letting out over a 100 yards and trolling this bait at a slow speed. This bait has been proven to be one of my best at catching larger bass.
