Answer: line goes through the middle and you can either put swivel on the end or i use them for pompano fishing and i make a loop in the line and then slide them on and hold them on with the hook.
Answer: I make my own rig harness, so I put them on by threading the line thru... I want the top the harness to float above the hook and bounce a little. I hope this answers your question

New to fishing. These did not come assembled and there were no instructions on how to rig it. I threw them out.

These work well for holding your bait off the bottom. Have caught a lot of trout and perch with this rig. They are hard to find in many stores.

The rigs work well, but the line is to week needs to be a heavier test. Also the rigs don't float on top of the water, the float keeps the bait off the bottom. Heavier test line would make the rigs more durable. Small walleyes were breaking the rigs line. I've been looking for rigs just in a overall larger size, with no luck. Same design.
