Are these good for saltwater?

Im planning on using these on the right above my hook on a Carolina rig. Would it keep my hook a float?

Answer: Yes it works good for that if your bait isn’t to big, but works even better on a pompano rig. Just wish they had more colors to choose from .

It's hard to keep bait in the perfect spot sometimes. This solves that problem.

I love these floats. They are just the right size to keep my bait in the strike zone. I add them onto my snelled hook rigs. They also keep my bait away from unwanted bottom dwellers. Purchased 2 more packs and will be getting more. You can't go wrong for the price. Other companies have floats the same size, but you get less and they cost a little more.

I make my own floating crawler harnesses for river fishing, and while these Berkley floats are not my favorite, they're perfectly adequate for the job at hand (which is floating a night crawler off the bottom).

My favorite floats are the Lindy Snell Floats, which are a tad larger and come in a variety of colors (flourescent yellow being my favorite). The Lindy floats are also more expensive. As of this writing, the 15-pack of Berkley floats costs about 20 cents more than an 8-pack of Lindy floats, making the Berkley floats a solid value.

Note: Whether I use the Lindy or Berkley floats, I always use two floats per crawler harness.

While these Berkley floats are smaller, two floats will adequately float a crawler off the bottom. As for color choices, I hope you like orange and white because that's the only color available.

The bottom line: these Berkley floats work well for making quality rigs for floating live bait off the bottom. I prefer the Lindy Snell Floats for the larger size and multiple color options, but these Berkley floats get the job done for the fisherman on a budget.

Note: Though Berkley calls these "walleye" floats, I regularly catch walleye, pike, smallmouth, catfish, panfish, and suckers on the crawler harnesses I make with these floats.
