There's nothing to not like about these lures. Fred Arbogast is still top notch in top water lures and lure construction. I bought this cause I basically wore my old ones out that I have had for nearly 30 yrs. Just got back into fishing recently and was afraid maybe that things had changed with this company and their lures but I was not disappointed in the least.

I don't understand why they still use small screws on a mounting plate to attach the hook. First changing the hooks will enlarge the screw holes. Second the hook will not hold with just 2 small screws attached to the plastic body.

I have been a huge fan of jitterbug lures since the early 1970's. All sizes catch fish. Good colors, good hooks, good strike to hook up ratio. Everyone needs to own at least one. Hula Poppers are even more popular, but I prefer the straight retrieve of a Jitterbug over the popping of the Hula Popper.

Haven't used yet. But obviously going to be good topwater action. The hooks honestly aren't bending much at all when I tried to bend them, don't get me wrong there are sharper hooks.... owner, gammys, mustad, ect... but for the price this should bring a 5lb bass in smoothly.
