Answer: I've used silver/black at night and silver/blue or yellow/white during the day all around New England. These tend to work better later in the season when the water is warmer.

Answer: Hope you got an answer by now, just cleaning my in box and saw the message. The standard Saltwater HD is 6" and has 3 strong hooks, suggest you sharpen them, and troll just above the fish at 1.6 to 1.9 mph, works well on stripers in clear cold water. Good Luck!

Answer: Yuppers. I thought the side to side action or vibration would be more. But maybe not since it's so long. In general though I'm very happy with the lure. This picture of the red white one doesn't show it, but it has some clear the silver shine though. It's not flat opaque white is what I'm saying. In general I'm happy with it. And for the price! I picked up a few of these. My plan is for Pike in MN with them. All the Best, happy fishing.

I use these salmon fishing. The fish love them but they take a toll on the lures. Best advice put a good ball bearing swivel a couple feet up the line and use a quality snap swivel/ball bearing combo in front of the bomber. You will still straighten a split or hook every once in awhile but well worth it. I have changed out the hooks and split rings on many of the lures and that has helped as well.

I bought this for a recent saltwater trip to Honduras, but am used to freshwater fishing so I was surprised at how big it was. A few locals said fishing had been slow for the season, so keep that in mind when I say I didn't catch anything with it, however I did get follows from tarpon and a big barracuda. So I may not have caught any fish, but at least I have a beast of a lure to intimidate my freshwater fishing buddies with.

I don't usually post reviews and I don't work for Bomber! But this lure saved my trip. I fished this lure on a tough water level trip in the Columbian Amazon. This lure and color crushed the fish. In truth I had this lure from an earlier trip 10+ years ago on a previous Amazon journey and it stayed in the box in favor of top waters. Looking back it was a mistake. I pulled it out on this trip to Columbia BC the fish were holding deeper and I used this lure and a jig the entire trip. I caught Peacocks galore to 15 lbs and even an 18lb catfish! Fish this lure and Book Alan Zaremba in Las Lagunas and go get them! I ordered a bunch for my next trip and am excited to use these locally for big tarpon and snook in the Everglades.

The Bomber Magnum Long A is my favorite swimming plug to fish from the surf, jetty, shore or boat for stripers and blues. Also great for trolling. Very solidly built from polycarbonate plastic (tough stuff!) and a must for the tackle box. Favorite colors are silver flash/red head, silver flash/blue back, silver flash/black back & dark green mackerel. I also like the Cotton Cordell 7" Red Fin, but the Bomber Long A casts further.

I use these bombers for muskies and walleye in shallow rivers. They are an affordable fish catcher that runs shallow (1-3' casting) and works well with a steady or twitching style retrieve. I'm sure they'd work for trolling, fresh and saltwater, surf/jetty casting as well. They may not be the best lure for all conditions, but they are versatile, easy to use, built tough, affordable, and the fish go for them. .

Black and Chartreuse color are my favorite color for night fishing. Bomber Saltwater Grade Heavy Duty does not disappoint when it hooks the fish. With Bomber lure you have to work a little hard for it to look like a real bait.
