Answer: Works great for either or they even make a specific saltwater version. As far as depth you can fish it at any depth. Put in on a jig head and fish it at the depth the fish are at.

Answer: I use a 1/16th oz. jig 99% of the time-shallow water or deep. Black jig and a black shad color Gulp minnow.

Really 2000 dollars?

What hooks to use for this?

Answer: This is a 2 and 1/2 inch minnow. It lends itself to many types of presentations and hook sizes. I use a size 2, which works well but that is an arbitrary choice.

Answer: Try Leland Lures Crappie Magnet weighted heads. They have different sizes that work really well depending on the size of the Berkley Power minnow you use. I have small ones for the 1-2 inch sizes and heavier ones that work well with the 3-4 inch minnows. Have fun!

What are some good line setups to use with these? Fishing for any fish I guess lol

Answer: A drop-bottom rig works very well; I bought some of these at a Walmart and they do catch trout, however the only problem is that the fish usually tears the minnow off the hook first time every time, so plan to go through them like live bait.

Answer: The best results I get was with the line brand Berkley Vanish PVDF Fluocarbon lines. Best use for bass or walleye aso. Greeting Eduard

Answer: I pin them on plastic keeper collar 1/8 or 3/16 oz jig heads with #1, 1/0, or 2/0 hooks.

berkley gulp is a brand I trust and I wanted to try the chartreuse 3 inch shad. In a small vineyard pond I fish for large mouth bass and in my first cast I caught a 2 pounder and I've caught plenty more with it!!!

I’ve heard a lot about these baits and how good they are suppose to be. On my first outing I managed to get a 22 inch Walleye a white bass and a sucker. Works great on a 1/8oz jig. Let me just say the hype is true. I’ve also used the leaches on dropshot weights too with great success too. Mainly smallmouth bass!

I've been using the 3 inch minnows on 1/8 ounce leadhead jigs to catch walleye, smallmouth, yellow perch, and drum since the Gulp! minnows came out. I prefer the smelt and black shad colors, but others also work well. They are pretty fragile, but once a couple of fish have chewed on the top of the minnow, I turn it over so the light side is up and then clip off a half inch when that has been chewed to make them last longer.

I have done alot of fishing with these gulp minnows. I mainly fish lakes for trout. I have caught many 10lb+ trout with these. But all these gulp minnows work. Can't go wrong. They even work in the ocean. I have fished off the coast of Monterey and many rock cod with these.

I wonder what was my expectation of this product. Ultimately, I don't know. No action from catfish and it doesn't have fish attractant capabilities. It must have been a good ad or add on. I wouldn't repurchase.

These are my go-to baits when nothing else seems to be working, and they never fail to produce. I've caught lake trout, brown trout, steelhead, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleye, and muskie off these. I've fished them under a float, bottom bouncing on jig heads, drop shot, and off of three way rigs. I basically match the presentation to the water conditions and they just work. The pearl white seems to be the top producer, but I have had luck with other natural minnow/smelt colors as well. They're fairly durable and can usually land 2-3 fish before swapping out for a new one. Over the years I've found no real need to carry any other type of plastics than these, and I never head out without them.

I gave it 4 stars because I really think it would work on most fish. I tried them out in the smoky mountains on wild trout, and that was prob asking too much from a rubber minnow. The trout would approach the minnow (definitely attracted to it!) but would not bite it. I think less tricky fish would bite for sure.

The fish just hold on to this bait. I hope to add to this review in the future. The gliding jig head is by Berkeley, lots of glide action with plenty of versatility to accommodate the fish attitude. No action on it yet on the ice but it's definitely sexy.

I've been using the 2 1/2" but tried these 3" for Summer bass and catfish in the river - they love 'em! Best artificial I've ever used. All I take out now are these in 2 1/2" and 3" and nightcrawlers. I put these in my old Power Bait containers and keep them in my fishing vest. If I don't get any hits on these, the fish aren't biting - period!
