Answer: Works great for either or they even make a specific saltwater version. As far as depth you can fish it at any depth. Put in on a jig head and fish it at the depth the fish are at.

Answer: I use a 1/16th oz. jig 99% of the time-shallow water or deep. Black jig and a black shad color Gulp minnow.

Really 2000 dollars?

What hooks to use for this?

Answer: This is a 2 and 1/2 inch minnow. It lends itself to many types of presentations and hook sizes. I use a size 2, which works well but that is an arbitrary choice.

Answer: Try Leland Lures Crappie Magnet weighted heads. They have different sizes that work really well depending on the size of the Berkley Power minnow you use. I have small ones for the 1-2 inch sizes and heavier ones that work well with the 3-4 inch minnows. Have fun!

What are some good line setups to use with these? Fishing for any fish I guess lol

Answer: A drop-bottom rig works very well; I bought some of these at a Walmart and they do catch trout, however the only problem is that the fish usually tears the minnow off the hook first time every time, so plan to go through them like live bait.

Answer: The best results I get was with the line brand Berkley Vanish PVDF Fluocarbon lines. Best use for bass or walleye aso. Greeting Eduard

Answer: I pin them on plastic keeper collar 1/8 or 3/16 oz jig heads with #1, 1/0, or 2/0 hooks.

These things really work, on most all species. Only good for 1 day, if you put them back it package then all lures in package get hard. Really hard to get off of hook after drying out, need knife to remove. BUT they really do work GREAT!!!!!

I got the black shad kind and went on a fishing trip yesterday caught 5 small bass and one crappie in a hour. Would have gotten more but I didn't realize one of the fish slammed my hook so it couldn't hook anymore but I got tons of bites

Gulp minnows just work, there's no denying that, but they are very soft and tear easily so it's not at all hard for a fish to grab it by the tail and tear it right off the hook.

If you're fishing for a species that has a large enough mouth to engulf the bait and hook all at once, these would be fine, but smaller panfish just grab it by the tail and yank... you lose the fish AND the bait.

I’ve heard a lot about these baits and how good they are suppose to be. On my first outing I managed to get a 22 inch Walleye a white bass and a sucker. Works great on a 1/8oz jig. Let me just say the hype is true. I’ve also used the leaches on dropshot weights too with great success too. Mainly smallmouth bass!

This 2-1/2" size closely mimics common minnows, but Gulp! does NOT always "outfish live bait". On a hot bite day tho, you can sometimes outfish live minnows by not having to rebait as often.

These are my go-to baits when nothing else seems to be working, and they never fail to produce. I've caught lake trout, brown trout, steelhead, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleye, and muskie off these. I've fished them under a float, bottom bouncing on jig heads, drop shot, and off of three way rigs. I basically match the presentation to the water conditions and they just work. The pearl white seems to be the top producer, but I have had luck with other natural minnow/smelt colors as well. They're fairly durable and can usually land 2-3 fish before swapping out for a new one. Over the years I've found no real need to carry any other type of plastics than these, and I never head out without them.

I've had a lot of luck with these when nothing else was producing. I like to fish them on a drop shot rig, medium light spinning rod, 8lb braid, 6lb leader. Caught numerous large mouth in the 2-3lb range. Also caught some nice blue gills.

These things work so good. Only thing I hate about it is that it dries out fast, and the ones I received did not have enough "juice" inside. Like it is "old". Buy some juice to revive some dried ones.
