Answer: trout is a soft grub that looks like a crayfish can be used to fish bottom or top with a bobber (jig) to go for bass. Works well for any pan fish in lakes and ponds.

Answer: They are small crayfish, great for trout panfish and small mouth bass.. You can fish it under a bobber and they do come with light jigheads for casting

I found these first in a little fishing shop hours from home and was stoked to find them on Amazon. I picked up two for the season. Haven't caught many trout with it but panfish can't get enough of them. Bass really do go after the tiny craw pattern. Great when the big ones aren't biting and you start fishing for the anyones.

The small plastic "tackle box" that hold the contents of the kit is warped and cannot close or stay shut. If I were to try and take this out fishing the contents would surely fall in to the river.

I'm a big fan of the Trout Magnet product line, so I was eager to try something different from the same company that makes great, affordable fishing lures. The Trout Slayer didn't disappoint. The same day they arrived in the mail, I had to put them to the test. I quickly caught 2 crappie on my very limited fishing adventure. I was extremely impressed! I just wished I more time.

Best trout soft plastics ever. After using these lures for a while I can say they are super effective. They are small coming in at about an inch but they are still big enough to get a lot of hits. You can fish it like a trout magnet by just drifting it in the current or my favourite way to fish them is to jerk it off the bottom. They can be pretty hard to cast but I can still get them out about 30 feet with a 8ft ultralight. They are good for both stocked fish and wild trout and lakes and rivers. Add a little bit of scent for even more bites. Over all incredible little lure 10/10 will buy again.

i use em for everything, crappie, sunfish, bait fish, perch, small mouth, large mouth, rainbow trout, and brookies. The only issue i have is casting the light weight heads without using an ultralight rod, sometimes to get that distance ill use a bigger jig, or cast with the wind. don't tell on me but ill even tie em on a fly rod. i'd recommend buying a tackle organizer, the one that comes with it distorts and becomes useless.

My local shops have the same ones in little 3 packs with 1 hook for over 2 dollars. This has an assortment of hooks and colors, and they are excellent for catching pan fish. They fall horizontally, and hit the ground claw up, as if it is a defensive position. Add a bit of crayfish scent and they are deadly.

First day I got them I tested them out in an area where I know there are sunfish and tossed it out under a bobber and they were pulling the bobber down but not getting enough of it in their mouth so I'm assuming it was a bunch of smaller fish. Might count this as a failure but it just proved that fish are at least interested in it.

Few days later I tried it way down stream and was tossing it out with no float over some weed beds and reeled it in just fast enough to keep it out of the weeds and jerked the rod erratically and caught a pickerel, a few smallmouth, a small large mouth, two big fallfish and a couple pumpkinseed. I would have kept fishing but it was starting to rain and I had to leave.

I got the kit for $6.99 and caught like 10 fish in around an hour. I've bought a single lure for around $6.99 and haven't caught anything on them yet so I'd call this a great value. So far I've only used 1 hook and 1 craw (the green pumpkin colored one with an orange-ish belly) and the craw still has all his little appendages but probably wont last much longer but I'll still have 19 other craws.

Crappie and bass love these. Mud bottom conditions. You drag or pop these guys on the bottom and it will get bit. Tried small swimbaits to small worms, nothing not even a nibble, even when I'm catching fish in the same area where I caught fish on these micro craws. Limit out on crappies but only kept what I wanted to eat. 10/10 I would buy again.

Caught a number of rainbow trout as well as too many to count creek chub. I’m a big believer in these lures. I just ordered more natural pattern lures from their website, along with barbless jigs.

Used these last week for some crappie fishing and small mouth . Worked great I used a little crawdad sent on them and I was putting fish in the boat . I was fishing small brush piles . And for those saying there small hooks. I put a 3 pound large mouth in the boat you just need to take your time and play the fish . Also got a couple perch and big bluegill on them . Really like how compact the container is . Takes up little to no room in my bag .
