Great for night fishing! packed 20 per bag. ; soft plastics ; zoom; the Zoom Mag II worm is great when water temperatures heat up and fishing pressure begins to take its toll. Ideal for targeting bigger bass on a Texas-rig, especially when flipping and pitching into heavy cover, the Mag II is super soft to the touch for the proper action needed to pull that reluctant money fish. Questions about Zoom Magnum II Worm-Pack of 20
Q:
best color for bass in socal?
Answer: Black or motor oil works anywhere, then grape!
Answer: I like dark blue or black
Q:
how do i fish these worms with a lot of grass on the bottom of lake?
Answer: weighted weedless hook
Q:
What is the diference between red shad and this bait
Answer: Red shad is the color not type. Works well in the Northeast for Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Pickerel, Pike, and I've even seen a Salmon caught on one.
Answer: Red shad is red and black is well it is black
Answer: Red Shad has a red color in it if you zoom in on each color. I prefer red shad as It seems to adjust better in cloudy and or sunlit conditions for largemouth bass in central Louisiana.
Answer: They both have a slightly different color and amount of glitter.
Q:
Does anybody notice if they need a trailer hook for the length of these worms?
Answer: Mostly fish this worm Texas rig, sometimes Carolina rig; no trailer used. Bass mostly strike this bait at the head.
Answer: I don't use a trailer.
Answer: I never use one.
Q:
How long is each worm approximately?
Answer: It's a 9 inch worm. The body is 4 inches and the tail is 5 inches.
Q:
What size hooks should I use?
Answer: I mostly use 5/0 EWG (Extra Wide Gap) offset hooks. Sometimes 4/0 hooks. Black in color.
Answer: i use 10inches... 9 is good too. the bigger more weight and cast farther
Q:
Best color and length for northern pike?
Answer: Think it is more a bass bait, but might work on pike.
Q:
What's a good size weight for this size worm?
Answer: I have three rods and reels rigged with 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2. I have caught bass on all three Texas rig setups. 1/2 ounce I mostly use on windy days or if I need to punch through cover or want the worm to sink quickly. NOTE: Others and I have fished these worms without any weights. This gives a more natural worm fall in the water.
Q:
Are these baits heavy enough to do a weedless weightless worm rig ? Or will i need a little weight ?
Answer: That depends on your rod and line. If you are using the proper rod and light weight line with a smooth casting reel, you will be launching these a mile without weight.
Answer: U need that extra inch. If its 10inches itll be okay. That one inch makes a different. But it all depends on how far u trying too throw.. but yes it should still work.
Q:
How long is each worm approximately?
Answer: It's a 9 inch worm. The body is 4 inches and the tail is 5 inches.
Product reviews of Zoom Magnum II Worm-Pack of 20
Centurion : My confidence bait!
On my lake (Tuscaloosa) this is my go-to lure and is easily my confidence bait. Great color and action. The length allows me to cut small pieces off from the head area and continue fishing with it after several catches.
Jamie S. : I am very happy with this worm
Went out last week fishing for bass with this worm. The smaller game fish and bass were less aggressive with this worm but I found it got the big boys out to play. I am very happy with this worm, had so much fun fishing with it and the fish liked it too.
Frankie P. : Bass catcher!
Always catch fish when using this bait.
joseph puglisi : Five Stars
Terrific! Very hard to find at this size!!
Caleb Thomas : Solid Plastic Worm
You can never go wrong with some plastic worms. Reliable, cheap, and effective. Glad to have bought them for sure.
Highly recommend.
Reese : Nice catch

John and Amber Barnett : Good

Lauren R Roman : These work really well!!
Perfect for bass fishing in Georgia. My husband gets a catch pretty much every time using this bait. Something about the color and the length of this that does it. These are definitely his favorite... only ones he will buy anymore and Amazon had them at a great price. No need to go from store to store anymore :)

Amazon Customer : Get ready to set the hook
That worm right there is a fish getter! I'm an avid kayak angler and these worms, Texas rigged, are a sure bite. Pond, laken or river.

PMPM : High Quality and Works great
Work great. I caught a decent sized bass with the first worm I used on the second cast I made.
morry : they are nice bait
caught many fish
wayne palestini : scuppernong worms
I ordered the 7 inch worms but got the 9 inch. Would like 2 packs of the 7 inch worms if you can send them
Keng Her : Awesome bait!
Great bait, action is very nice and catches a lot of bass! I've caught 11" - 22" bass on this bait, all sizes go for it. Also caught my 5 lbs PB on the Pumpkin Chartreuse color. Only downfall about this bait is that it rips easy after a catch or 2 and going thru weeds. Overall I have had a lot of success with this bait and will buy again. If using Texas rig, you will probably need a small bullet weight, it is pretty light. If fishing shallow or ponds all you need is a 1/16 oz or 3/16 oz bullet weight.
Amazon Customer : BIG BASS
I bass fish Lake Fork. Great size and color for the big Mommas.
Richard Birt : All good
All good
badenglishihave : Good worm but there are better
Good ribbontail worm, but not my favorite. I still like these but I prefer Culprit worms now for their durability.
Pros:
- Soft, salted, fish hold on and don't let go
- Great action even with a small weight
Cons:
- Very thin and closer to 8" long unless you stretch the tail out
- Hard to keep skin hooked because of the thinness of the body
- Small tab at the end of the ribbon tail usually rips after the first fish, or if fishing around vegetation. After that the tail doesn't move much (but will probably still catch fish)
Richard M. : Too small
Not what I would call a large worm
jharp : Bass Master
Worked well bought for parents they were able to catch some keepers.
Elizabeth Gilmore : If I was a fish, I’d eat it!
Just as expected.
