Vincent : An Excellent Addition to the DT Series of Lures

I have been using the DT series for over 10 years with good success for large mouth bass fishing, especially in the original Bluegill Color at lakes where bluegill are the bass's primary forage, including the DT 4, DT 6, and DT 10. Several years ago, I purchased a DT 14, but lake levels were too low to use it due to a protracted drought, but now that lakes have topped off over the past couple of years, I was able to use this deeper diving crank bait. It proved so successful that I just purchased 2 more to have backups in the event my original one becomes damaged or is lost to an under water hazard, like a sunken tree. Like all the models in this series, it is very useful to have crank baits designed to dive to designated depths, particularly since the manufacturer, Rapala, molds that depth into the diving lip to eliminate any ambiguities when selecting your lure. Also like others in the series, the DT 14 comes equipped with excellent quality and suitably sized VMC brand treble hooks that are secured by strong split rings, so that no modifications are required to customize it; it is made of balsa wood that results in excellent buoyancy, which allows the lure to float up over underwater hazards if only you pause your retrieve when you detect the tall tale bump of the lure contacting such cover; and it is tank tested prior to packaging so it runs true out of the box., instead of requiring tuning before fishing, as do many other brands.
