What weight is this lure?

Can u cast this lure at least 30yrds? I have 30lb spiderwire braid on my pole

Answer: That's a loaded question. It depends on a lot of things. What kind of guides on your rid, how smooth are they, what size reel, what weight lure is your rod built for. You have to match components to get what you are asking for. I have no problem casting 30 yards with this lure when using 20lb Finn's wind tamer line on a 7ft 1 piece medium heavy fast rod with a Shimano ci4 4000 size reel. I use the configuration without leader for bass and with 4-5ft of flouro leader inshore.

Answer: 30 yards is a bit much for any lure, braid or not. I generally have 40lb braid on my reels, I use Sabalos Spinning Reels for winter fishing and I believe I'm getting great distance but most of my fishing is inshore up tidal creeks so it's tight quarters some times

Answer: Don't have pike in Texas
