I want to paint my rod tips. Is this ready to use? If not is there advice or instructions?

Answer: I would NOT recommend this for rod tips because you have to heat the material significantly before you apply the paint powder. It's made for metal, not graphite or fiberglass. Check Mud Hole. They have paints for rod blanks.

Maybe i missed it but what color is this? Im looking for silver or silver metalic in the pro-tec brand.

Answer: We don't carry this product in Silver. I don't know if they make it in silver
