Why has the price gone up 40 percent this summer ?

Answer: The actual real bloodworm shortage has caused a demand for the fake ones and because of that, the suppliers have raised the price of them. In our area, bloodworms are a regularly used bait and because of that real ones have doubled.

tried to order this item but when i went to checkout it says this item cannot be ship to my address. i lived in california and dont know why?

Item says a three pack, is it? Are the packs .8 oz each?

How do they work for striped bass here in north east(ct) and for porgys?

Answer: Yes. This bait will work for striped bass and for porgies. However, cut squid is a better bait if you are on a boat when fishing for porgies. This is bait is good for most fish as long as you don't let it get wet before storing---will get very hard. Be sure to tightly seal the package after use.

Answer: We fish for redfish and trout in the Gulf of Mexico off the Texas coast. We have had some luck with Fish Bites.

Why do they crack and break when bend??? Is that due to it being old and dry??

Answer: that is exposure to uv rays like the sun. it does not change how they work.

Answer: that is correct, you can try wrapping them with a damp paper towel in a ziplock bag sometimes that works.

This stuff is unbelievable. Never even heard of it before this year. Went on a fishing trip to the Outer Banks and the gentleman who was using this was hitting fish all day. Blues, Spanish mackerels, croakers you name it. It was like crack for fish.

Great for perch in warm water. These work and the local tackle shop sells out quickly in season. Unlike competitors, there is no "juice" to make a mess (and fish go to these "bites" better). I like that the strips can easily be cut with scissors to the appropriate size and that, once on the hook, they stay on the hook for a long time due to the mesh that holds it together when the water turns the Fishbite gummy.

Use this for saltwater fishing of seasonal fish like Croaker, Hardhead, and Trout. It is very good good at attracting these types of fish which are drawn by scent.

My only complaint is it seems the price keeps going up, while the "Bag" keeps getting smaller.

Joe Termite : Best whiting/kingfish bait out there

We have been using bloodworm fish bites for probably 10 years. There is no better bait for catching whiting. Use small circle hooks and a small 3/4" piece of bloodworm fish bites. Have caught a lot of fish on the same piece. We use to use live bloodworms till the water warmed up enough for the blue bag to work. The bag use to say," use in water above 68 degrees. The now have a red bag of fast acting for colder water. We used them this past May and they work great. I buy four or five packs at a time. I take a marker and date them . I gave away a pack to a man and a child dated 2017. They were catching fish with them. Yes it is a pain sometimes to get the cheese cloth off. the pain is well worth it. The photo is from Jeanette's Pier in Nags Head, North Carolina two years ago.

NewEnglander : I can't catch a fish on this

I tried it, right beside with another rod, baited with shrimp and salty squid pieces. Continuous hits on the shrimp rig, nothing touched this one. So it's not because of no fish. I'll give it a 2 star because as far as staying on the hook it's great, it won't come off. Also needed to use scissors to cut it, it's very tough, which is good. I think they need to work on the taste or smell of it, because it doesn't seem like the fish like it. Maybe it's regional, maybe it works in the tropical seas or something, definetely not working in New England/Atlantic part.

Used last month in Outer Banks NC. No luck with real bloodworms, mullet or squid. Caught 7 fish (drum, whitefish) from surf using the Fishbites. Stays on hook, too. Also, caught fish in freshwater stream this week using same Fishbites. Great idea and great product!

Love this, it works and it’s much cleaner vs using real baits. We caught over 200 croakers and other fishes for baits In the evening and ended catching over 1000 lbs of Striper the next morning/ commercial tags. No doubt this is good stuffs, but it’s not cheap.

Bought two, one bag pinky and soft, the other dark and so much harder then the first bag, may be a bad patch? Don't know it work or not , may update after Trip.

Great for surf and pier fishing. I have used this product many times while fishing up and down The Outer Banks. Seems pricey but when you consider you can get multiple hook ups of spot, croaker, and mullet from a 1/2 inch piece they are much cheaper than real bloodworms. I've been using them for years.

These things work wonders in salt water. I was catching fish when others wasnt on cut bait. Always carry some to the beach. Hard to clean the mesh off the hook but they tend to last and that's what makes so the fish cant steal the bait

A dab will do. I cut a piece just as long as it is wide with scissors and pair it with a squid strip on the same hook when fishing Delaware tidal water. The combination of scent, color, and the cut bait is a killer for Atlantic croaker, kingfish, and spot. I easily outfish friends 5 to 1 with them using just squid alone. You can often catch 2 or 3 fish without changing it. The only draw back is that you need to use scissors to cut it off the hook when done because the netting within the bait strip does not tear off by hand. It works, especially when paired with other cut bait as an enhancement.

JWiz : Stays on forever, catches fish

The mesh is a pain to get off the hook, but it stays on forever compared to live worms. If you get covered up by some small baitfish, they won't rob you every two minutes.

It was an old stock. The fish bites that was delivered to me was old, it’s has and a notable white powdery discoloration.
I have heard good things about fish bites, but I was disappointed.

I have used a lot of this product purchased from the local Walmart and never seen anything like this. Usually when the package is opened and exposed to water it looks hard and dried up. I did not expect to receive my fish bit in this condition and I am so glad that I ONLY ORDER ONE package. Fish bite is an excellent product. I don't know what happened to this alleged new package.
