I add my own hook?

Answer: I am in Canada and I couldn't check it because the item you asked is in California that I used when I go surf fishing there. You can always attach a hook on a snap. Surely you can cast this pulley rig farther.

Answer: I have not used it yet, but it did not come with a hook so you have to use a size that you think is right for what you are fishing for.
