Answer: No, but the jointed body makes a rattling noise during the retrieve.

Answer: The rattle is in the diving bill portion of the bait, but yes it has a rattle

Answer: Yes it does! I will go beyond your question and say that I have caught everything from bluegill to Northern Pike on this lure and everything in between. And no, I am not a paid spokesman! Lol I own 6 of these in the perch color alone.

Answer: Yes these are rattlers with a great swim action. Not the cheapest but well worth the money.
