Answer: 1 foot by 8 1/4 inches by 7 1/2 inches on the outside. I don't know how many, because I did not count the ones I had, when I put them in. They are very handy and useful though for fishing and I have purchased a few for different types of worms.

i need worms for a garden I created in the city, which has none. would these be good?

Answer: Magic Worm products have been around for decades and are very good for keeping worms alive. Follow directions carefully and keep them moist and fed . and they will last for weeks or more. I have always had good results with these products.

Can you add vegetable table scraps to the farm or do you have to use only the worm food that comes with the kit?

Answer: I use raw vegetables only. No meat products. Raw egg shells and coffee grounds works also. I go by composting rules. I do make sure the vegetables are cut in small pieces like potato peelings etc.

Does this thing have to be kept in the fridge?

Answer: It needs to be kept in a cool place. I keep mine in my basement, but it can be kept in the fridge.

Will this allow worms to reproduce I this container and will it fit in fridge?

Answer: Mine reproduce, but I have European worms. Supposedly they don't reproduce fast but mine are crazy. This box fits in my fridge. However I seldom have to put them there because they do fine over a wide range of temperature. They do not need their bedding changed as often. I live in Wisconsin, so we have limited hot weather plus I keep them in my air conditioned basement.

Answer: European Crawlers are smaller than Canadian Night Crawlers and larger than red worms. The blue gills crappies and perch, prefer them here in Wisconsin.

Answer: This system works great with red wrigglers ( thats what I raise ). Be sure to use RAIN water to wet the bedding,DO NOT USE TAP WATER,as it will make the worms sick and will die .Hope this helps you out.

Answer: I can't really answer this question because it hasn't been used yet, waiting for Spring. But my Dad once had one and he kept it in his basement all winter. Red wigglers survived just fine in it.

How many crawlers will this hold?

Answer: Quite a few/a lot. But you have to keep them moist and fed and frankly the quantity you put in is going to be dependent on how big they are and how much room you want them to have. Picture the size of the box filled with a very light dirt like material and imagine how many of those squirmy little bodies you want in it.

Will the qorms reproduce and make more?

I have had one of these for about a year now. Liked it so much that I just ordered another one so I can have more worms growing since we fish often. The only down side that I have found is the fact that you need to be very careful with the box so you don't poke a hole or do any damage to it since it is made to breath (well at least that is what I think it is).

Worms keep getting out somehow, despite the heavy weight I put on the top to try and keep it down. I don't see any other possible routes of escape. I am tired of pulling worms off the bottom of my refrigerator which, by the way, is set at the reported ideal temperature.
