Answer: Do not know the thickness but we have large garden and 4 freezers, we use these bags and have not had any problems. If you are trying to vacuum with liquid in bag or peas and beans that are damp you need to place a strip of paper towel in top of bag just ahead of sealing strip or it will pull the liquid into the unit and the bag will not seal or you can place your items on baking sheet, freeze then place in bag and vacuum.. I would also if I was going to use food saver bags as long-term storage I would put my long-term food supply in some type Rubbermaid tote that way you keep sunlight away edited easy way to stockpile food

They work fine and allow for longer freezer storage. After using 2 boxes, only two lost their seal but, I think it was my fault because I didn't notice a sharp bone end on the steaks I was packaging for the freezer. I find it is better to freeze the steaks, burgers, roasts and chicken pieces before packaging for the freezer. The food saver machine is quite powerful. I found out that packaging unfrozen meat & chicken draws too much blood and juice out of the item while in the bag. Don't know if this is the suggested action, but, it works for me. They are also easy to use as they are pre cut.

My Foodsaver machine will be the smartest buy I ever made because the deep state bureaucrats have installed incompetent free spending democrats who will ignite runaway inflation. Unfortunately a steak I buy now for $8 a lb and vacuum seal with my machine and freeze will only be palatable for a maximum of two years which at that time will probably cost $50 a lb to replace after I have eaten it. Thanks to the followers of the "green" religion I will be happy if it is natural and not produce in a lab by Bill Gates or plant based. Oh yeah this is the most handy size for most applications.

Wanted to try these because of the multiple rolls within the box. I really can't tell much difference in the "Game Saver" bags and their regular freezer bags. These are great and I will certainly buy again. I tend to use more of the small rolls than the large ones, and being able to get a box with 6 small rolls is a great option for my family.
These bags and the unit will save you time and money and keep all your frozen foods freezer-burn free for a long time. We freeze lots of garden veg and fruit and can now buy meat in bulk thanks to this great packaging.
If you haven't tried the FoodSaver, please do. This beats regular freezer bags for freezing hands down. We've used ours for years now and I wouldn't want to live without it!

These are just excellent and saves hugh amounts of money. The can be cut to length and when used in combination with the Original FoodSaver Machine they will keep your food air free.
The muli-packs of the same size are more cost efficient if you are doing the same things over and over to freeze or just store. I do not use ANY other brand or so-called imitation type because they Do-Not-Work-As-Well. PERIOD .!!!

We have a vacume sealer that we use to store smaller portions of bulk purchases of meats and also use for sealing freshly caught and filleted fish. Seeing these advertised as "Game saver", I thought they would be perfect for our fish, but it was really hard for me to say they worked better then the "standard" vacuum sealer bags. Without using a micronometer to precisely measure the thickness of the bag, all I had to go by was how the bag felt. The bag seemed to fell a little thicker and will probably hold up better over time, but really had to say if the extra cost was warranted. I hope to do an update after we freeze the fish for a while and see if they keep the quality of the meat better then standard bags. Don't get me wrong...good bags, just not sure if they are worth the extra money...time will tell

This is my second box because I use the FoodSaver a lot. I use a slide cutter to cut bags that are just the right size for the food, and though it may take longer to cut and then seal one end to turn it into a bag, it's far cheaper than buying pre-made bags that are often too long or too short for my needs.

THE BAGS HAD SMALL HOLE IN EACH BAG AT THE TOP. HAD TO CUT OFF 3 INCHES FROM THE TOP OF BAG TO BE ABLE TO VACUMN SEAL!!!! GREAT WAY TO MAKE A PERSON BUY MORE BAGS QUICKLY!!! NOT AGAIN
