The POINTER has been designed with a very low center of gravity through the use of special brass weights. The low center of balance causes the lure to wobble and vibrate whenever the retrieving motion is stopped. The POINTER will suspend 4 -5 feet deep and will emit an intriguing bass-calling vibration, while in the suspended state. A short twitch of the fishing rod will generate the "Walk the Dog" action under the water.

Did this take the place of the pointer sp100

Answer: LOL!!! Why in the world did you think these took the place of the pointer sp100? These ARE the pointer sp100. Since you obviously don't know, SP refers to "suspending" and 100 is the length in mm. There is a new version of the pointer 100, the "H3", which has 3 hooks versus 2 (on the sp100), hence the "H" stands for "hooks" and "3" stands for number of hooks (three (3)). The Pointer 100 H3, like most every quality jerkbait on the market, is also a "suspending" bait.

Answer: Not sure if it’s a replacement or notcor the sp100. This is my favorite jerk bait of all times. It works great on Barkley and Kentucky. Also used it a lot in south Mississippi.

what size is this lure.

Answer: 4 inches. Lure is awesome! Bit expensive, but worth every penny paid! You WILL catch fish. Do yourself a favor though, fish the lure the correct way. Don't just cast and reel.

Answer: This bait is made in Japan so they use the metric system. The bait is right at 4 inches in length. The Lucky Craft are my #1 favorite jerk bait. IMO there is none better.

I have these in 78s and 100s, a tray full of colors to match forage. THEY work out of the box. Caught some monster smallmouth,
and thats only in the first weeks of having it. HOWEVER : the foil especially on the aurora Gold, is coming off, the belly treble has scraped away alot and just general use has knocked off a lot.. theres a shiny silve finish under, hoping to paint gold over it.
They suspend , they do the baitfish curl, they flash better than any lure i have ever used. I would like to rate 9 outta 10, the paint coming off is the only negative

This lure works GREAT. Caught 13 Bass on 19 casts! It was unbelievable. It's expensive, but the trade off is worth it. You need to know how to work the lure or your wasting time. YouTube has a lot of videos showing you the proper way to fish this one.

I use them in saltwater. I do change out the hooks after a few fish, but these lures are durable, have great action and catch fish, especially when they can be picky.
