Answer: Salt water? I don't know --- I used it in fresh water. I'm not near salt water. Depth? Probably 3-5 ft. (Short-billed)

Answer: Hard to say what's it made of. Plastic? Balsa? I'd have to cut into it to find out, I suppose.

Answer: Yes a very good lure for bass and trout if ordering those you should also order Glass Blue minnow, Glass minnow, and both Helsinki Ghost and shad lures. I have had great luck with all of them trolling for trout !

Answer: I suppose it could be used for salt water.

how big is it?

Answer: This is a small bait. No more than 3 inch. Rapala is a well respective fishing brand. It may look small, but is considered effective at fishing big fishes. The hook might bend due to the weight of the fish, but such a nice catch is well worth the cost of this product. There are the bigger version. That will be more for saltwater fishing or for catching big fishes. Go to a sporting good store based on where you lived and see if you can find them. Walmart might have them, but will be the small versions.

Used the 08 black back and chrome body tonight and caught pretty much everything in Canandaigua Lake except small mouth. I caught a massive pickerel that unfortunately cut the line when I brought it up to the kayak so I’m here to buy this again but going to add the 10.

I like to use these when all of the usual suspects just aren't getting bit. There's something about the suspended presentation that makes fish that are otherwise lure shy have to investigate. This isn't a bait to catch a ton of fish, but it will catch big fish.

I am a novice at fishing. Most of my experience has been with live bait and some basic spinners.

I purchased this lure for a trip to the Boundary Waters in Minnesota this past late spring.

I had never used a lure of this type but was very pleased to discover just how easy it was to use.

The Northern Pike and Small Mouth Bass simply could not resist it!

The quality of the lure was very good. The hooks very sharp. I really don't recall any strikes where I didn't actually land the fish.

I purchased a few other Rapala brand lures for the trip. All worked great, but this color combination was the best.

A big thanks to Rapala for helping to make the best fishing trip/experience of my life.

The images for this product clearly show lures with 3 treble hooks. I received 2 of the 3 lures that I ordered today, and I am not the first buyer to report that the actual item has only 2 treble hooks. The images used are clearly deceptive, and I feel cheated. You are better off buying these lures in a brick and mortar store, where you can see what you are buying and there can be no “bait and switch” like this.
