Do you need to run a trolling weight in front of them?

Answer: I don’t, and I like the 5 inch model with the 3/0 O’Shaughnessy hook. I run them further back on 15-30 pound spinning outfits and mostly pick up dolphins and blackfin tuna, bonitos.

Answer: I never used these feathers. I thought they were tuna feathers but were smaller than I wanted. I would say you need some sort of weight if you are going to troll them at speeds from 4-7 mph. Not a big feather.

Answer: A 1oz OR SO WEIGHT BETWEEN THE LINE AND LEADER WOULD PROBABLY HELP AS THE HEAD IS VERY LIGHT WITH LITTLE DRAG.

Answer: No you do not. I run them alone all of the time and have caught just about everything on them. I usually get dolphin, tuna, bonito and even about a 6-foot silky, but I'm pretty sure he just got hooked while trying to grab a bonito off the line. :-) This is my go-to bait when trolling, and I can't say enough good things about it.
