How long do they last?

Answer: Very long as long as the fish don't eat 'em.

Answer: They are pretty tough. I used them in Alaska a couple of years. I bought the size #4 pink color for salmon. After catching a couple I would have to bite the head off and re-hook. Depends on the fish, size and bottom structure. I was fishing on a sandy beach but the 5-15# salmon are toothy and very strong.

Answer: they will last longer if the crabs do not bite them into pieces or fish do not bite on a short strike. Other than that I will keep using them (between uses they are stored in the gulp liquid) until the rubber starts to break down. I still have some that I used last year, a little bitten but they still shake and attract attention. Just remember to hook them so the mullet does get off balance and start to spin.

I never have luck with any artificial baits before. haven't tried this. does this actually work, or no? if so, what does it catch?

Answer: Fish are attracted to motion as well as scent. Gulp exhibits both. Living in the northeast Gulp is used for every species. Fluke, sea bass,soup, weak fish and other are attracted to this type of bait. I believe that it is the natural enticing motion that awakens a predatory fish. I have seen fluke caught with just a swimming mullet. These baits are very natural in appearance. I always keep a varied of sizes and styles in my tackle bag

Answer: I use this during the summers in the Northeast for fluke. I either put it on a jig and go jigging, or on bare hooks that that have a weight on the bottom of the line. They are like fluke candy. I know some people who will only use gulp when targeting fluke. also work for striped bass. I prefer the smaller sized gulp.
