I'm in KY, trying to do some bass fishing in Ponds, and small lakes/creeks. What colors would you recommend?

Answer: I live in western Kentucky. We fish lots of old coal mine lakes and farm ponds. I have been using these baits for years now, and I have one particular color that will catch me fish even on bad days. The red and black Senko is the number 1 go to bait in my tackle box. I fish this weedless with a extra wide gap hook. I have one pole dedicated to this lure.

Answer: I just try to go a shade darker than the water, or tan/pumpkin if it's clear...the main thing is fish it slow slow slow....

Answer: I suggest the senko 925 . Although they are designed soft to tear up easily (I wonder why) the 925 has been the go to worm for me!! I have never used them and not at least got bites, when nothing else seemed to work. Goog luck and happy fishing from Louisiana.

Answer: Depends on the situation you're in: muddy or stained water or cloudy sky = bigger worm and darker color. Clearer water, partly cloudy to clear blue sky = smaller worm and more natural/brighter colors.

I'm sorry but without more information answering this question is hard..... That being said, I generally have good luck with the watermelon/black/red 4 inch bait in a wacky rig or Texas configuration near underwater grass and shore cover. If earlier in the year (early spring) a cinnamon/red bait in 3 inch size works well in rocky cover as it mimics a crayfish for winter hungry bass species.

Answer: I don't think I've ever seen a "use by" or expiration date on plastics. Like most soft plastics they will dry out over time. These are very soft and have a ton of salt in them, as a result they don't last very long. But they catch more fish than any other stick bait I've tried. I usually fish Yum Dingers until the fishing gets tough, then I break out the Yamamoto Senkos.

Answer: I have never heard of there being a shelf life. But anything is possible. I've had Senko baits that I've opened two years ago and they still seem to be fine. But unless you're thinking the price will change dramatically, delay your purchase. But if you have a favor color and you want to ensure you always have it available, then I understand. Answer: I usually fish these "wacky" rigged. fish hit when it falls or after 10 seconds when you slowly lift the bait upwards. I like circle hooks, which requires you to wait a few SECONDS before setting the hook, but are sure hooking and always end up in the corner of the mouth, not in the stomach. I release all fresh water fish I catch. A fish is too valuable to the sport to only be caught once. good luck and tight lines.

Answer: Senkos are not designed to float, they slowly sink in a kinda flutter , fish hit it on the way down, if your fishing bottom, simple raise your rod tip slowly & let bait slowly flutter downward

Answer: Both. Either. Pick one, catch a few fish with it, and it will become your favorite. Green pumpkin black flake or some other flake seems to be more popular. I catch more fish with baby bass than all the other colors combined, but of course I have confidence in it so I use it more than all the other colors combined.

Answer: I had a ton of success in the spring with watermelon. I caught roughly 8 largemouth bass between a 1-3lbs after a rain storm. I kayak fish a lake with my St. Croix rod and Pflueger Supreme XT reel. In my opinion, watermelon colored works best for largemouth bass.

Answer: Probably the most versatile size of this bait is the 5" - it can be fished Texas rigged, Wacky, weighted or weightless, yada, yada, yada...... But then again, sometimes the bass want something smaller.......

Answer: 5" or 6" works great. Depending on the time of year, and water conditions (murky, clear) you will want a couple colors. I have great luck with pink. Black is also a good stand by color and one with some sparkles (I like the dark green or blue). We've caught MANY 5-6 pound bass with these baits.

Answer: Can't help because I don't fish anywhere near Edgewater Park near Cleveland. However, I get more hits with the cut tail Gary's than seinkos. These lures are still much better than any other artificial worms. And, make sure to use Slider hooks.

Answer: For Texas rig I use a Gamakatsu 3/0 EWG hook. For wacky there are several options but a size 1 gamakatsu octopus circle hook or equivalent from Owner or your favorite brand work very well.

Answer: I would go with the 5" seiko. I have found them to be effective on bass as little as 7 or 8 inches. If you are strictly fishing for smaller bass the smaller bait will work, however the 5" senko has worked for me from as small as I want to catch all the way up to 5 pounds

Answer: What are you looking to fish for? I would recommend the 4 inch for bass, they tend to bite bigger things but I have used 3 inch before and they work fine.

What weather/waters should i use the cinnamon brown black purple flake?

Answer: Great technique in either lakes or rivers, whacky rigging the bait and bouncing it over smallmouth bass spawning beds. Spring time temps that bring the water temp into the 50's and 60's will trigger this. Also, a great technique in the heat of summer on rivers, whacky rigging and tossing the bait into the back end of deeper holes and gently twitching the bait will get the smallmouth to strike. They don't move much at this time and wait for food to be washed into the back of the holes. Hope this helps land you some more fish

I do pay more with these products. One of the reasons why Senko's work well is because of the action of the bait in the water. Couldn't really be much harder of a bait and still have the same movement in the water. So, you suffer a little durability in favor of having more movement in the water. Yes please. I have caught 100s and 100s of smallmouth with these. want to lose less Senkos, use a ring.

Senko's! What can I say... these are "standard" must-have's for a beginner bass fisherman and even the pros. For some reason these specific colors were slightly cheaper because they had the amazon add-on price. Only improvement would be that all of the colors would be add-on priced.

While these soft plastic bait work for catching bass on our regular lakes in Michigan, I was not impressed with the quality of the worms. After catching one bass, the worm was usually split in two by the wacky worm O-rings used to rig on hook. Other brands (Bass pro) we use, are not so easily 'shredded' especially on just one catch. We purchased the Clear with black specs which work great in cloudy/murky water on partly cloudy days....

Any bass fisherman with at least some experience knows about senkos. Obviously, they catch fish, plentiful amounts of fish.

They're plastic worms. They really don't seem all that special. I've been using plastic worms for 30 years ...or more.
Other brands seem to work as well for me, at much lower prices. I'm not always fishing "on the cheap" but 5 worms for $8, as opposed to 15 for $5 ... I don't see different results , ...so I won't be reordering.

These stick baits are definitely great but I have been very disappointed with just how soft they are and the way they only hold up for a few fish. I got hits very quickly with them and hooked a few smaller bass but I am saving them for ponds or lakes where I know there are larger bass knowing I will only get a few fish max on them.

They are definitely irresistible to bass but you only get a few fish per bait so know this before buying them...the fish per bait price is steep with these...

Yamamoto Senkos are the best bait for the money when it comes to bass fishing. Pair them with the O-rings for the wacky rig and they will last a lot longer as well. Don’t go for the cheap brand!

Definitely catches fish. Can cast it well, they’re a bit brittle/not nearly durable enough. Forget surviving a hit or a catch, 6 or 8 casts in brush or along the bottom and it’ll all but come apart! But dang, they do catch fish!

Highly pressured lakes? Overfished? Dog days of summer? The Senko is the perfect all-around lure for most times of the year and is pretty much the best you can get. I do HIGHLY recommend buying O-rings to wrap around as the durability of the Senko is really weak. After one maybe two strikes it will fall apart. I won't reduce the rating for that reason because it does catch fish.

These catch fish, we have only used them "wacky" rigged, but they can be rigged in countless other ways. Wasn't sure about this color, but it's a winner.

Never tried these before until I bought this pack after hearing about them. I will admit, they do get some bites. They have earned a permanent spot in my box. What I like a lot about them is they have enough mass to get a good cast with them. I do not use any weights, just a 4/0 EWG hook. Highly recommend giving them a try.

I use these worms for wacky rigs and they hold up well. Haven't had any tear or rip yet. These come salted as well to put some scent in the water. I recommend saving the worm you used in a separate plastic bag rather than throwing it back into the fresh pack. Overall great worms and the fish love them! Already bought a different color!

Ive caught LM bass w these- great colors. Pblm for me is even after a few casts they start to fall apart- too soft. I hook texas style w drop shot usu. Zman is much firmer so last longer for me.
