How many flies come with this?

Answer: there are 55 flies in this pack. I bought it last year and I believe it is not worth the money. I did not know anything about flies back then, I still am not the expert, but i still have around 50 of these flies that I have never used and may never use....... It is my belief that you should find out what you need before you buy a generic pack like this...

Answer: Robert, I am not sure but I do remember there were a lot. I was actually surprised how many there were for the price.

Can you catch bass and panfish with these flies?

Answer: Most definitely. I fish with them on a 40 acre pond in Wisconsin and catch bluegills, crappies, and smallmouth bass. There is a large assortment of types and sizes to match the hatch. It is a great value and I'm thinking of buying another myself.

Lots of Fishing Flies, They look cool but they are tiny. I like them bigger for steelhead and salmon. They are not well tied I usually get 5 to 6 casts before they fall apart and unravel. There are so many of them and the price is reasonable. These are great when I want to test out a different color or style.

These are so so. good for a beginner i guess. They don't really seem to match up to any actual insects but I will say that I caught a wild trout on one. I do get alot of strikes with these but not alot of actual hits.

you can not go wrong with this fly set. I use them for perch, bass, crappie, and any smaller pond fish. I have had this for a year with two of us splitting the flies, and we have not yet used all of them.

In this case, my title is vice versa. Whatever horrible fly tier that decided to sell these, did not have "Customer Satisfaction" in mind... CLEARLY. Basically, it all comes down to this.... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! So don't be cheap, visit your local Orvis outlet or fly shop if you actually intend to catch something!!!

A good selection of budget flies to pad out your fly box. However, this selection would be better if it comprised of more popular fly patterns.

This set of flie was decent, but definitely not what I expected. I was expecting some wooly buggers, some midges, a mosquito or two, some prince nymphs. I didn't really get that. Also the sizes were rather large with nothing under a 14. Overall, I'm happy with what I got for the price I paid.

This is an excellent collection of inexpensive flies. For those of us who like to get out and thrash the water, but don't have the money for designer tackle, these are very serviceable. The flies are well finished and quite good enough to lure the finicky finned friends.

These flies were a good deal. Even though the colors and flies were off for my area and I suspect most areas, and a few of flies were less than well tied. All and all I cant complain for the price. I used these to teach my cousin how to fly fish, because I didn't care if he snapped a few off. Some of the darker - adams -ish not really looking flies did work in area where the fish were biting at anything. So... All in all, these are good flies for either the times when when you are not expecting to catch any fish, or the times when you are catching too many fish. I actually took a few of these and tied on my own adams rabbit hair padding to make them look better. You could also use a fabric spray pain and hit a few of the orange ones with it... This is an impressive set for a newbie to start out with who doesn't know much about fly fishing.... I'm happy overall with the purchase - (But i also took some good flies with me on my trip)
