Answer: Yes. It removes the shell and vein in one quick swipe.

Answer: I found it to be too fat, and prefer to use a knife. Don't think this worked very well.

Answer: depends on the type of shrimp. some need a little extra help but does a nice job anyway

Easu to use. It took me 1 minute to get the hang of it.
I can deveina nd peel 20+ large shrimps per minute.
Would also make a nice gift be a nice accessory to add to a gift basket .
Maybe add a corkscrew, a bottle of wine, a pound of frozen shrimp, a bottle of teriyaki sauce, etc...

I have been using these to devein shrimp since I was a young girl. I must have loan mine to someone who didn't return it and I couldn't find them in any of the local (New Orleans) stores which really surprised me. I couldn't think of peeling 6-10 pounds of shrimp with out one of these. I ordered 4, but I won't be loaning any of them out. I'm gonna give one to my Mom and keep the rest to ensure that I always have one when I need it. I've tried the metal ones, but prefer this type.

It looks like they have a winner here! It works just the way that it is meant to work, with the shrimp being cleaned exactly as they were meant to be. Would be nice to have a choice of colors, but then who can complain with this product if this is all that can be complained about?

This sure beats using your fingers to peel and then the knife to devein. It's fast and convenient. Wish they made it from metal though, to prevent it from breaking. My previous one broke after so much use.
