Richard S. Boyes : Nice spoons for the money

These spoons work just fine and look well made. I used a couple last weekend and even caught a small northern on one. Only time will tell me more on how well the paint holds up.

You get what you pay for with these, but what I received was not exactly what was pictured. Five spoons, but instead of the classic yellow and red star one I got a bronze scaled one. Still got the red and white spoon which is another classic and my personal stand by. Chipped the paint and bent the hook on a nice bass this morning. They were cheap so I wasn't too miffed, but I will be replacing all of the hooks that came with these from the factory. These spoons were also much smaller than I had anticipated. I think the smallest is maybe an inch long and 1/4 oz or less. The biggest (red and white) was 2-1/2" or so and heavy enough to cast where I wanted. All of them have a pretty nice action and would be great for trolling. Just cheap hooks and thin coat of paint on them. Good value though.

These were purchased as a gift and my future son-in-law is very please with them. I'm not sure what he has caught for fish with them, but he was really please to receive them.

Not made very well, the lures are very light for their size (length and width). Not very castable, made more like a trailing lure behind a dodger or diver. Paint comes off easily.
