Answer: It's a spinning rod. Not sure what type "B" is but it holds an open face spinning real perfectly. The rod shown in the middle of the picture is for a bait casting real and not like the two that I bought. My handle is all cork and smooth. It's the best rod I have ever purchased bar none......Charlie

One of my favorite Loomis rods. Middle range price. Classic design -- it does not have any newer fancier components like split handle or tons of guides (7 is what I get on a 7ML rod), etc. but simply works to its perfection. Super light and super sensitive. Will keep stocking up.
