I have caught more topqater bass on these than any other top water lure. Sinking like a brick is lack of experience. I throw them with a 3/0 worm hook or a bait keeper spring hook. You have to begin retrieving them right away or cast right on top of lily pads and moss. Bass crush these in shallow open water as well. It is not a cast and let sit top water. Know your game before you leave a terrible review.
