Dr. Doodle : CLASSY NET FOR THE MONEY

Received this fish landing net quickly and as advertised. I was concerned about the weight but it is very light and appears to be made well. Re-netting may be a problem down the road but at this price, I'd just buy a new one. It has a good feel to it. Having a net with tape measure stenciled in would be good - which it does not have. It's the right size for trout. I like it so far.

The Green Eagle : Nice looking net for people who live in the real world

Nice net for the price. Good looks, but not so good that you can't toss it in the car, or bang it on rocks as you fish without worrying about it. I shortened the handle by about 2" just because it felt better in my hand and rides better on my belt, where I attach it with a magnetic release. I also got rid of the cheesy labels. Looks and works great now. They say the new rubber mesh nets are better, but I don't like the way they look.

At a local brick and mortar store, I saw some of these labeled with the same model number but were made of very cheap materials. The inner core was very red and the outer laminate strips were almost white. It weighed about half of what this version weighs, and was very flexible and weak feeling, like it was made out of balsa, or some wood/plastic composite. I hope Frabill is not changing over to that crap version to save money. Make sure you get a nice real wood one.

ASA : Nice net and a nice price

This is not to be confused with a $75 net, and not to be confused with a $7 net. And that is perfect, because I don't want either. A net is to be used, to be banged around, and supposed to last for years. This net is perfect for me because although it is good quality, it's not a piece of art that I would be afraid to use. And it's not a piece of garbage that falls apart after a season.

Good overall, but the mesh is pretty close-knit and causes some water drag. I only used it a few times thus far, but it seems to be a good value. The mesh is soft and good for not hurting the fish.

Cheap Sportsman : Love to Look the Part

I am a Cheap sportsman...I try and get away with paying as little as possible for anything that I can. I could have bought a net for a few bucks less, but this is a GREAT looking net and is functional and totally worth the few extra bucks! I love it...not sure if it makes me a better fisherman, but I do know that it makes me look like I know what I am doing and I have landed may fish in it and have no complaints!
